Favorite Photos from Slovenia
The following is a guest post from Amber Hoffman, a recovering tax attorney traveling the world in search of adventure.
I don't know that I ever would have visited Slovenia until I met Irena at a little beach bar in Belize. Irena worked at the Slovenian embassy in DC and lived only a few miles from me. When she returned to Slovenia, she asked if I would visit. I promised her I would, and I did. On my husband and my RTW trip, which started with a tour of Eastern Europe, we informed Irena we would pop into Slovenia, a country about the size of New Jersey. She insisted we crash with her in Ljubljana, took us for a day trip to the quaint Adriatic fishing village of Piran, and insisted we visit Lake Bled. It was amazing what we could see in less than a week in Slovenia, a country that might be considered small in stature, but is filled with mountains, lakes, and abounding natural beauty. And, everything is within a day trip drive from the capital, Ljubljana. Here are some of my favorite photos from Slovenia.
