Downtown Detroit is Detroit’s most cosmopolitan area as it the city’s international border to Canada and has a beautiful riverfront. Highlights of Downtown include the Detroit Institute of Arts, The Renaissance Center (shopping complex which is also the home of General Motors), Detroit Historical Museum, Comerica Park (home of the Detroit Tigers), Ford Field (home of the Detroit Lions), Cobo Center, and the Philip A. Hart Plaza (home to Jazz Fest). Greater Novi is known for its shopping, quaint and historical downtown, as well as its fine dining experience. Highlights of the destination include Twelve Oaks Mall (shopping mall with nearly 200 stores, services, and restaurants), Palace Sports & Entertainment (home of the Detroit Pistons), and The Holocaust Memorial Center. Macomb houses miles and miles of shoreline so this district is all about aquatic activities. Visitors can rent a boat and go fishing or spend the day swimming and their evenings dining at one of the many dining establishments. Other highlights include Freedom Hill Amphitheatre (live music venue) and the Macomb Center For The Performing Arts.
