Gulf Breeze, Florida is a city that sits on the Fairpoint Peninsula on the very northwest side of Florida just under Alabama and east of the Louisiana state line. The obvious best choice here is to spend a day in Pensacola. It’s a historic beach city just a 10-minute drive north of Gulf Breeze and there are plenty of great things to do to fill up your day. You could visit the Naval Air Station Pensacola, which offers great attractions for visitors including shows from the Blue Angels fighter jet pilots who put on great spectacles, the National Museum of Naval Aviation, as well as Fort Barrancas, which is still in stunning condition. Another fun idea would be to visit the Chautauqua Vineyards in DeFuniak Springs, just over an hour-drive east of Gulf Breeze. The vineyard, winery and the town are worth a visit. You will see how wine is made and be able to sample it. Then visit the old historic buildings in the town of DeFuniak Springs.
