Orange Beach, Alabama is a city located on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, right next to Gulf Shores and just a few miles from the Florida state line. For some time off the water, take a historical tour of Fort Morgan, which has been an on-again off-again military fort since the 1500s. There is a lot of rich history here especially because it was instrumental in the Battle of Mobile Bay during the American Civil War. Fun for the whole family can be found at Adventure Island amusement park in Orange Beach where there are go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, mini golf and even an erupting volcano replica. If you’re interested in golf, there are many great golf courses all over the Orange Beach and Gulf Shores area like a simple 9-hole course in Orange Beach Golf Center, Kiva Dunes Golf Club, Gulf Shores Golf Club and more. If you want to explore a bigger city area, visit Pensacola, Florida, just 30 minutes from Orange Beach. It’s a historic beach city that has a lot of Naval history. You can visit the Naval Air Station Pensacola, which offers great attractions for visitors including shows from the Blue Angels fighter jet pilots who put on great spectacles, the National Museum of Naval Aviation, as well as Fort Barrancas, which is still in stunning condition. Other than that experience the Pensacola Museum of Art, and the beautiful beaches of Pensacola, which have soft, sugar white sand.
