Minneapolis is also home to the Minnesota Vikings NFL football team, and the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA basketball team. The Minnesota Wild NHL hockey team plays in St. Paul. For a great natural adventure, check out Minnehaha State Park to the southeast of the city along the banks of the Mississippi. The 193-acre park is one of the oldest and most popular in the city with its 55-foot high Minnehaha Falls and great trails running through it. The famous Mall of America is about a 20-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis and is definitely worth it. It’s the largest mall in the United States and has more than 400 stores and an amusement park inside and you could easily spend an entire day there.
