Things to Do in San Sebastian
La Concha and La Zurriola are the two main beaches — the latter being a popular spot for surfing in Spain. Head west of La Concha Beach to check out an old amusement park on Mount Igeldo, still running with rides and games. Or, row out to visit the famous Combs of the Winds iron sculptures by Eduardo Chillida. In the city, the Parte Vieja has great boutique shopping as well as excellent Basque cuisine tapas called pintxos. On foot or on a bicycle are the best ways to get around and explore. Other places to see include Miramar Palace, Statue of Christ, Monte Urgull, Iglesia de San Vicinte, and Ayuntamiento (City Hall). Don’t forget to look up festivals and events happening during your stay.
