Things to do in Tobermory
In Tobermory, find yourself at some of the most incredible natural spots in the world. Visit the Grotto, a cave that was carved out by waves of the Georgian Bay. The Grotto has an underwater tunnel, and is one of Tobermory’s main attractions. Swim in the Grotto’s beautiful blue water! You need to take a ferry out to Flowerpot Island, and then a short hike up to the “flowerpot” pillars. The natural sea stacks really do resemble flowerpots. On the island, find all kinds of caves and trails to explore. Underwater is where Tobermory shines. Discover underwater shipwrecks, submerged forests and canyons. This free public footpath has cliffs and views on the trail that stretches hundreds of miles. The best views are closer to Tobermory, so you’re in luck. Spend the day travelling the trail! An hour drive away from Tobermory is Sauble Beach, a resort town with one of the most glorious beaches.
