Wrightsville Beach, on the southern part of the North Carolina coast, is one of the state’s premier beach resort towns. If instead you’re looking to get away from the beach, travel to Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, about two hours away. While there visit the City Market, Artspace, North Carolina Museum of Natural Science, and the North Carolina State Capitol building. It’s easy to see the big sites of Raleigh in a day, and a good opportunity to add some learning and culture to your relaxing vacation.

There are two main parts of Wrightsville Beach, Harbor Island and the exterior beach island.
