Oak Island, North Carolina is a small beach town located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in southeast corner of the state south of Wilmington and north of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The city was founded in 1999, forming after the merging of the towns of Long Beach and Yaupon Beach. While the small town has a population of about 7,000 people, it’s a very popular area for tourism as the population grows to between 30,000 and 50,000 people in the summer months.

For adults, the Silver Coast Winery is a great place where you can enjoy tasting wine they’ve been making for 10 years and tour the beautiful vineyard as well.
