Garner is a small suburban community situated in North Carolina’s Wake County. The town is also a suburb of the state’s capital city Raleigh. The heart of capital city is only a few miles north of Garner. In the past, Garner was an agricultural center with cotton as its most important crop. Presently, the town’s economy no longer relies on farming but is home to several major service and business establishments. With a charming hometown ambiance as well as historic downtown area, Garner is ideal for visitors looking for a quiet, easygoing destination to escape from the hustle and bustle of fast-paced city life.

Several points of interests in Garner are officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
