Saranac is another mountain village where you can try out your skiing, or simply play in the snow. However, Saranac has museums like the Wild Center, or the Saranac Laboratory Museum for you to visit. Tupper Lake is further away at a forty minute drive from Lake Placid, but the Tupper Lake Municipal Park and the Tupper Lake Heritage Museum give you even more reason to visit. Go sledding and exploring the falls in Tupper Lake.
