Things to Do in Angel Fire
During the summer temperatures tend to average in the 70s, making the Angel Fire Resort area the perfect place for outdoor activities. Angel Fire Bike Park has 2,000 vertical feet of downhill trails for biking enthusiasts, and there is also an 18-hole championship golf course that offers scenic views of the Southern Rockies. Visitors can also ride to the mountain top on the Chile Express chairlift, and enjoy incredible views from up above on the Zipline Adventure Tour—which features six ziplines at the top of the mountain above the Moreno Valley. In the winter, Angel Fire turns into a winter wonderland and is especially popular with skiers and snowboarders, who come to enjoy Angel Fire Mountain’s 560-acres of terrain and gladed tree runs. Other popular activities include tubing, sledding, mountain biking, and fishing.

One fun day trip near Angel Fire is the town of Chimayo, which is just over an hour and a half by car. The plaza in Chimayo is famous for a Catholic church by the name of El Santuario de Chimayo that has a reputation for being a healing site that attracts close to 300,000 visitors a year who come there to heal various physical and spiritual ailments. Another great day trip is the city of Santa Fe, which is two hours southwest of Angel Fire and the capital of New Mexico. Transportation in Angel Fire
Residents and visitors in the Angel Fire resort area can choose from three different free shuttles (Green, Blue and Black) that operate during the winter season, traveling to and from the base area of the ski mountain. The service runs from 8:30am to 5pm daily. The most convenient forms of transportation are rental cars and taxi cabs, but there is also a Mountain View Shuttle that has buses between Angel Fire and other major towns such as Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
