The Margate Community Farmers’ Market is always a fun atmosphere as the town does its shopping together. The fresh, locally-grown produce, seafood straight off the boat, tasty barbeque and other Jersey Fresh products will have you hungry for more. When you take your trip, Margate City is the best place to fall. The Margate Fall Funfest, held at the end of September, celebrates the start of fall with two full days of fun. Entertainment, crafts and food is laid out for six blocks along the bay, for no charge.

Once you’ve had time to wander around Margate City, check out the neighboring towns. Atlantic City is home to the world famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. The famous seven mile boardwalk brings in over 30 million people annually. The town is home to an array of pop culture references such as the streets of the game Monopoly were named after the streets of Atlantic City, and the Miss America pageant is held annually in the city. Historic Smithville is a beautiful place to visit surrounded by Lake Meone, cobblestone paths and friendly locals. The small village offers dining, shopping and family fun. There is an antique arcade, a train, paddle boats, and a vintage carousal. This is the perfect town to reminiscence in the nostalgia of the small town feel. Two and a half miles of boardwalk and eight miles of lush, sandy beaches earned Ocean City’s title of 2016 Best Beach in America by Coastal Living. The city remains the top summer destination on Jersey Shore. However, if you visit make sure to BYOB because no alcohol is sold in the town due to its religious history.
