Located in San Bernardino County, CA, Mentone is an inland city located right next to Redlands, where the University of Redlands is located. Mentone is a small, residential area, with a small nightlife in neighboring Redlands where the university and various shops and restaurants are located. If you’re looking for a relaxing and family-friendly place to stay with close proximity to Lake Arrowhead and the mountains, as well as plenty of access to parks, Mentone is a great choice.

Mentone offers a variety of things to do, from dining at restaurants and staying active in local parks to attending special events and learning about local history. Thurman Flats Picnic Area has various hiking trails for those looking to enjoy the outdoors. Greenspot Farms is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offers attractions including a new horse arena, baby animals to pet and play with, and during Halloween they operate a haunted hay ride. They also have a Christmas tree lot during the holidays, and it’s a great place to come spend the day with the family. Barnacles Sports Bar is a popular place to go and get a drink and some bar food for the evening, and if you’re looking for some nightlife, downtown Redlands is the ideal place to go due to its college town vibe. The city of Riverside is just a 24 minute drive south of Mentone, and is where the famous Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is located, as well as Castle Park, which features carnival-style rides, shows and food. Ontario is also close to Mentone and is home to San Antonio Winery, Ontario Mills, and Kimball Park. Downtown Los Angeles an hour west from Mentone by car and is where many attractions are located, including the Staples Center and the University of Southern California. Lake Arrowhead is just 46 minutes away by car, and many people go up there to go skiing, snowboarding, and play in the hot springs.

Mentone is a small town with two main neighborhoods—Town Center and Mill Creek Road/Ward Way. Most of the property rentals are single family homes with spacious yards, as well as apartments and condos, and it is relatively peaceful due to it being primarily residential.
