Do you know of the book, Anne of Green Gables? Well, if you’re a fan of the book or other works, then this is the place for you! You can tour the farmhouse that the books were based on and more. Even if you do not know of this book, there is still so much to do and see in Cavendish!

There are all kinds of adventures in and around Cavendish. Your first stop should be the Cavendish Beach, especially during the warm months! Next, the Sandspit at Cavendish Beach is loads of fun! There are all kinds of rides and a speedway. It’s hours of fun for all ages. Also if you’re traveling with family and children, you should definitely go to the Shining Waters Family Fun Park. Tour the farmhouse that inspired the book series, Anne of Green Gables. It is really quite magical. Also take a walk through the town of Avonlea, which was another integral part of the Anne books. If this isn’t enough for you, then take a walk on the weird side and see Ripley’s Believe It or Not. There are some very cool, but very strange exhibits. When you start to get hungry, check out some of these local spots: COWS Cavendish, The Lost Anchor Pub & Galley, Chez Yvonne’s, Red Island Baked Potato, Piatto Pizzeria, Samuels Coffee House, Pedro’s Island Eatery, or Island Favorites.

There’s more to Prince Edward Island than Cavendish and it’s just the right size that you can see a lot of it in a day. Or maybe go see different parts of the island in a day. If you want to go see the sites of Charlottetown, then be sure to hop on one of the blue double decker buses to see all the sites. Also out of Charlottetown, you can go on a lobster excursion through Top Notch Charters. Take the Island Adventure Tour and you are guaranteed to see the whole island in a day! Or head to Georgetown and take the Tranquility Cove Adventure. It’s complete with sightseeing and water activities. Joey’s Deep Sea Fishing tour out of Rusticoville is another amazing way to spend your day out on the water. Also head to Cornwall to the Rise & Climb Adventure Course for some obstacle course fun for all ages! You can’t go wrong with a trip to Prince Edward Island and theirs is always a new adventure to be had.
