Even though it takes a while to get downtown, it is worth it to stay at Valentino's Retreat. Clean, nicely decorated and peaceful, it was great. Jay was very helpful and we couldn't have enjoyed it more.

In planning our first trip ever to Nashville, looking for lodging in Nashville was frustrating. Staying downtown was expensive. If you wanted to venture away from downtown, we would need a rental car, and that would result in parking fees at downtown hotels of $25+ per day! While researching our options on TripAdvisor, I came across this little gem in the country but not in the country. My wife was instantly all in on the idea. She has always wanted to live on a farm and loves farm animals. Seeing they had donkeys she could feed really got her even more excited! Read all of the positive reviews from others who had stayed there and decided that doing something different would make our trip even more exciting. Best. Decision. EVER! This little place is exactly as the photos depict it. Very clean and comfortable and the perfect place to come back to after a busy day sight-seeing. You can sit on the huge deck in the evening and watch the lights of Goodlettsville below and in the distance. Have a drink and relax! Not really out in the "country" as it is actually in the city limits of Goodlettsville, but it feels like it since it is situated well off of a roadway that did not appear to have much traffic anyway. Nice, quiet, and great view of the countryside. It's an easy drive of just about 20-25 minutes to downtown Nashville, even less to the Grand Ole Opry, Opry Mills Mall, and the massive Gaylord Opryland Resort & Hotel which is an attraction in itself! I can't say enough about how perfect this place was/is for a couple that wants to see the sights but also be able to get away and relax at the end of the day. You just have to experience it for yourself. And to top it off, the owners are awesome. Jay and Dana live in a separate house on the farm but you would never know it - they don't o anything that would cause you to feel like you were being "watched" or scrutinized. In fact, it's just the opposite. Jay is very friendly and outgoing and lets you know that he is there if you need anything, but ONLY if you need something. He makes it clear you are free to call him for anything, whether it be something you find lacking in the house or just need advice on the best eating places or places to visit you would otherwise not be aware of. And you are always welcome to tour his music studio in Nashville for a private tour. By the time you leave, you really fell like you made a new friend, even though you didn't get to visit with him all that much. Regrettably, we did not get to meet Dana. But it is obvious that she is an amazing talent just by examining the music industry related items in the house. You can tell how proud Jay is of her also when he shares information on her career to you. Hopefully we can return and get to meet her next time. Would I recommend this vacation rental to a friend? ABSOLUTELY! I already have. To several friends actually! Now they also want to take a trip to Nashville. But they want to stay at Valentino's Retreat if they do!

My husband and I found this retreat while planning our 1 year anniversary/first honeymoon! We could not have asked for a more amazing experience. The house is beautiful, spotless, and so quiet. We were able to wake up and see the donkeys and cows out front then head off to the hustle and bustle of the beautiful city. The absolute best of both worlds! Everything you could ever need is in the house. We brought a lot more than we needed! The music history of the home was priceless also. We would recommend this house to anyone!!

We stayed at Valentino's Retreat for our honeymoon and we would not have changed a thing. The owners were very welcoming and the house was just perfect. We loved the location as it's so close to downtown yet it's out of the cluster and on a beautiful farm with the most picturesque country view from every side of the house. Our family wants to stay there as well when they come to Nashville!

Jay & Dana were more than gracious. The cottage was very nice, linens were top notch, nothing is spared. Would definitely stay here again. The views are spectacular from the deck.

We (my boyfriend, his younger brother, and I) stayed at Valentino's Retreat for 4 days while visiting Nashville last week. We absolutely fell in love with the location and cottage as soon as we pulled up and brought our things in. Being 20 minutes outside of Nashville was the best place to stay. We could quickly go into the city, but then also feel like we were relaxing in the rolling hills of Tennessee. The house was so clean and comfortable and the decorations were fun and really made you feel like you were in "Music City!" We felt so comfortable staying in the cottage and hanging out. We would have even been happy staying at the cottage instead of going into Nashville. Everything was perfect! It was so perfect in fact, that my boyfriend loved the location so much that he proposed to me on the deck! :) Who could resist the rolling grassy hills of Tennessee with the sun setting pinks and oranges, rain just starting to mist, and a beautiful rainbow crossing the sky?! Valentino's Retreat will always have a special place in our hearts and we can't wait to go back! We would recommend staying here to anyone!

What a great find! Valentino's is off a quiet road very close to the town of Goodlettsville and with easy access to the interstate - and only a half hour from Nashville airport. The pictures are absolutely accurate, it's a gorgeous bijou base from which to explore Tennessee and well placed if you want to visit any part of the state - four hours to Memphis, about three and a half hours to Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains. There are at least three supermarkets nearby which make grocery shopping very easy, as well as a couple of great malls and some good local restaurants. Parking is on-site and well away from the road so very safe. We only got to speak with Dana for a short time on arrival as we had such a manic schedule (and thanks Delta for the false information on TSA wait times which led to a nice early departure!) but the information provided throughout the home was really helpful and everything was nicely documented.

This cabin was perfection! We travelled from Scotland and stayed here for our second week in the USA. Absolutely delightful accommodation. Desperate to return! The cabin is stylish and so comfortable you don't want to leave. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury base in Nashville. The wildlife is amazing. Turkeys, chipmunks, red cardinal birds and squirrels all entertained us. Loved the donkeys too. All in all a wonderful holiday rental.

This retreat was just what we were looking for! Just outside Nashville proper but close enough to the highway to get downtown or to any other attractions in the area. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and country feel especially on the back deck and surrounding property. Jay and Dana were exceptional hosts. They were available as much or as little as we needed. A great getaway!

I will start off this review with the one negative about staying at Valentino's retreat and it is a big one. At the end of the time that you booked you have to leave. In all seriousness, I can not see how someone could be disappointed with renting Valentino's from Dana and Jay. First for the cottage. Other than the picture of Valentino in the barn, every photo of the cottage is accurate. When you walk through the front door it looks as good as it did in the pictures. extremely clean and well kept. The kitchen has everything you need other than food, drinks, and cooking ingredients. The memory foam bed and the pillows were very comfortable to my wife and I. We slept great. When we were there we spent most of our time out on the large deck/balcony where we enjoyed the piece and quite of Goodlettsville. We even got to see the deer and wild turkeys that wander into the yard. Only occasionally did we hear noise from town or the highway. Very peaceful. Eating breakfast and lunch out on the deck before we headed into Nashville was very enjoyable. We bought some carrots and apples to feed the Sicilian donkeys that Jay keeps on the property. The cottage if far enough north of Nashville to experience country peacefulness and yet close enough to be in Nashville in around 20 minutes. Now for Dana and Jay. If you are visiting Nashville for the music you can not book a better place than from Dana and Jay. These two are humble and will not mention their musical accomplishments unless asked, Seeing a number of items in the cottage with Dana's photo on them should enlighten you to the level of their dedication to music. Feel free to ask Dana about her career for some really cool stories. And as for Jay, he is more than willing to have people come to his recording studio. My wife and I got to watch a studio session in process. Very cool. Jay also leads a jazz jam on Tuesday nights which is very entertaining. The two of them added so much to our Nashville music trip. And for our dining excursions. Forget the tourist spots to eat. Dana and Jay will direct you to some of the best eats that the locals visit every day. Do yourself a favor and rent Valentino's retreat or Chateau on the row.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and we didn't want to leave! The view is breathtaking! Our host Jay was very nice and he makes sure you have everything you need and more for a peaceful and quiet vacation! We enjoyed Franklin, Tn as well as Nashville. They are both very close to the cottage. And anyone that stays here you must eat at Liz's in Goodletsville. Jay Thank you again for everything! Victor and Kelly

The house was very nice and everything was well kept. It was far enough from all the hustle and bustle in town but yet within 15 minutes of everything. It had a nice porch all the way around the house for relaxing, cooking out or just sitting out watching the stars. We even saw deer grazing in the backyard. The owners were very nice and accommodating, but yet gave us our space. Loved it - would stay again if we got the chance to be in the area again.

Valentino's Retreat is absolutely an awesome place to stay. The house is charming, a true home away from home. No detail was left out. The balcony is an awesome place to watch the sun rise, and the sun set. The birds, squirrels, and the wild turkeys were so peaceful and relaxing. I am just sorry we did not stay longer than 3 nights. Dana and Jay make you feel welcome, and are wonderful hosts. If you ever get the privilege of staying here, don't pass it up! You will never find a more spotless, clean place to lay your head for a great nights sleep. It is a great, relaxing retreat! Thank you very much. Can't wait to go back!

Other reviews of Valentinos say it all. A truly wonderful place owned by two of the nicest people it has been my privilege to meet.. Both Dana and Jay went out of their way to ensure our stay was a memorable one. Valentinos is extremely well set out to a very high standard and like Chateau on the Row (which they also own) is decorated with just the right amount of music memorabilia to remind you of your hosts achievements. Location is great and very easy to travel to and from Nashville and the surrounding area. There is a lot to do in and around this part of Tennessee but to be honest when you get to Valentinos you just want to kick back, get that Country music n the radio and chill.

This was our first trip to Tennessee and Nashville, traveling there for a college graduation. We aren't "hotel people" and always like to find a guest house or cabin to rent when we travel. Doing that enables us to have a more leisurely experience by coming and going on our own schedule, cooking our own meals if we desire and enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine on the patio or deck of wherever we stay. Valentino's Retreat was everything we could have hoped for and more! Located as it is on a private estate, it was secluded enough to ensure privacy and that get-away vibe, and yet it was only 15 minutes north of Nashville. The interior of the guest house was very comfortable, spacious and professionally decorated, and the wrap around deck that overlooks the meadows and pastures was peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable. We enjoyed our morning coffee while watching and listening to the bright red cardinals (we don't have these birds in Northern California!) and on our last night there, were treated to the sight of hundreds of fireflies (lightning bugs) in the meadows below! If we have the opportunity to visit the Nashville area again, we will definitely stay here again.

We spent 4 nights at Valentino's retreat and it's a really great place to stay a little outside the city. The house is really very nice inside and out and for the two of us it couldn't have been any better. The drive into town is about 20 minutes but believe me when you see and stay here the drive is not an issue at all, I would go back in a minute. The owners Jay and Dana are wonderful to deal with and great to hang with if you feel like it. Valentino's retreat is highly recommended and BTW if you stay there please say hello to the 2 donkey's that live there and bring along some apples :)

My husband and I came to Nashville for our honeymoon and absolutey loved everything about Valentino's Retreat! The owners are so friendly and easy to work with. It is so nice after a day in downtown Nashville to come back to this quiet, peaceful place for some true relaxation. Everything we needed was already there including a Keurig for coffee in the morning. We slept fantastic and my husband commented on how great the bed was for his bad back. We would highly recommend this place to any friends or family visiting the area.

My wife and I spent two nights at Valentino as part of a road trip to Texas. If you don't want to read any further the bottom line is it is a wonderful property. Here are the highlights: Beautiful house that is decorated to 5 star standards. The house truly is set up like the owners would live there rather than as a rental. Environment is great with a beautiful ranch or farmette type location. Wrap around porch that my wife and I sat on at night watching the fireflies and skyline of downtown Nashville on a full moon night. All the amenities in the house were available and of a high standard. Owners were very responsive and always willing to help with suggestions for local restaurants and attractions. Drive to downtown (Broadway Street) was an easy 19 minutes with minimal traffic. Great location to access most anything in Nashville (included 12 minutes to the Grand Ole Opry). Maybe one of the highest compliments we can give is that we would stay there just to enjoy the house and environment. Valentino is almost a destination on to itself. Highest recommendation given.

Spent a week for our 35th anniversary. Cottage was clean and area was secure. No traffic as cottage in a private gaited home. Peaceful and relaxing on porch. Observed turkey in the meadow. 15-20 minutes away from major attractions. Shopping within 5 minutes for all your needs. Several antiques stores nearby.

We stayed here from 7/19/13 to 7/26/13 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. This retreat is exactly what we wanted-it was quiet, peaceful and relaxing and had a very nice deck around it where you could sit outside and enjoy the quiet. You would never know the interstate was just a short drive away where we could get on to go into Nashville or just about anywhere in Tennessee very easily. It was very nicely decorated and had a dishwasher, washer-dryer, a new refrigerator and electric cook stove and very comfortable king size bed with plenty of closet space and nice fluffy towels. Plenty of pans, plates, glasses, etc were also provided. There are a few fast food places to eat close by, but you don't have to drive very far to find a variety of places to eat and we enjoyed cooking and eating out on the deck a couple of times. We drove to Franklin TN a couple of days-the 1st day via the Natchez Trace to Leiper's Fork & then Franklin and the 2nd day to Franklin on the interstate. We enjoyed the tours of the Carnton Plantation, McGavick Confederate Cemetery, the Carter House and Lotz House telling about the Battle of Franklin and would highly recommend these especially if you like Civil War history. Dana and Jay were the perfect hosts-they were just a phone call away if we needed anything, but yet they allowed us to have our privacy. They were both very friendly and made us feel very welcome! We will be returning and have recommended this to our friends and family!

Tucked away in the hills in an oasis of calm & beauty yet only a short drive from the lively heart of Nashville. Valentino's Retreat was even better than we expected; a very well designed and maintained cottage with all you need for a peaceful retreat or a base to explore the many attractions of the city. The huge outside deck allows you to enjoy the setting from all angles while the tastefully decorated & well appointed interior makes you think twice about going out to explore the area. Dana & Jay are the perfect hosts - on hand and always helpful. We would have stayed longer than the 3 days we booked had we known and we will when we go back again!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here at Valentino's Retreat. We loved the fact that the location wasn't in the heart of the Nashville City hustle and bustle but yet we liked that it was just minutes down the road. We had no issues getting to thw city when we wanted to. There were lots of resources close by to the rental at our convenience. The owners were absolutely fantastic. With their help we were able to accurately experience Nashville how it is meant to be experienced.....through music.

My husband and I recently spent almost a full week at Valentino's retreat and it was great! The small house itself is decorated super well. Dana did a wonderful job - each detail adds character and a fun experience. You can tell she put such care into the house, I felt very at home. IT was extremely clean and well-prepared. There was makeup remover wipes, scented candles, and extra blankets/pillows. They even stocked the keurig machine with tea and coffee. Additionally, the owner, Jay, was extremely hospitable. He offered his cell number 24/7 and even invited my husband and I to sit in his recording studio while one of his client's recorded their album! he showed us around even though he was super busy. So thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. We will for sure be staying there again if we are ever in town! One thing to keep in mind is that this location is about a 15-20 minute drive from the city of Nashville, so you do have to plan ahead, but it was great! Also, super affordable price. I told him, they really should charge more b/c of all of the care that they put into it! Great deal!

We had a 4 night stay and it was wonderful. The house is so warm and inviting. Everything you could need and so well kept. The large wrap around deck was great for having coffee in the morning with the cows and donkeys. At night you could sit and enjoy the view of the lights from the city. Dana and Jay are so welcoming and some of the nicest people you could meet. This was our first visit to the Nashville area and we plan on coming back next year but making a week stay out of it. If you are a musician Jay has a fantastic recording studio in downtown Nashville. I recorded there and had a great experience. Jay knows his craft. Also, if you can find out if he is playing in the area it is worth the trip. Some of the best music you will hear in Nashville.

My, husband and I stayed six nights at Valentino's. We, were visiting Nashville, but we're not into the night scene. We, like to sightsee during the day and have a peaceful place to relax in the evening. Valentino's retreat, fit the bill for us. A lovely cottage on a farm, about 25 minutes from downtown Nashville. Everything was very clean and anything you could need, is in the cottage. The decor is fun, with lots of music memorabilia. We, would definitely return again. Thank you, Dana and Jay, for offering Valentino's, as a rental.

This is a great little house for a weekend getaway! Well decorated, great views, has everything you need, all for a great price! We didn't get a chance to meet Jay and Dana while we were there, as we spent most of our time out and about, but based on other reviews (and a couple phone conversations with Jay) they are great people! Definitely recommend this place, and we'll be back if we ever make it back to the Nashville area.

My family and I (group of three) stayed at Valentino's Retreat during our five day stay visiting Nashville Tennessee. It was by far the best place we have ever stayed at while on vacation. While that may sound like an exaggeration, I assure you it isn't. The retreat is located on a nice, privately gated farm area where the wildlife is not shy to show itself. Its a very peaceful place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of Music City. Its located close enough to Nashville that you can get there without much problems but far away enough that you feel isolated from the craziness of the big city. The accommodations were great with a nice big kitchen that made you actually feel at home. The porch/patio was the best part, as you can have yourself a nice cup of coffee, watch the sunrise and admire the wildlife around you. Mr. and Mrs. V are a great help for information for Nashville as well as eating areas near the retreat. They even sent me my items that I had forgot there (thanks a bunch for that). Overall, its a great place to stay. Keep in mind, as they note in their advertisement, its for people that want a nice, peaceful place to stay, not for a big group of party goers. Thanks again.

From the moment we walked in, Valentino's Retreat was the perfect choice for an anniversary get-away. Great view of the city through the trees. Clean. Well-furnished. Comfortable. My favorite part has been having coffee on the deck early this morning. Ah, Serenity!

The time we entered the gate at Valentino's Retreat until the time we departed were remarkable. So inviting. The house was clean, well prepped for our arrival. Even a fresh flower in a vase for us to see and smell. The décor was amazing. The house is close to everything. Nashville is only a short drive. Plenty to do or just relax at home. Yes home is how you feel when staying here. From the owners, Jay and Dana, to the donkeys which we fed almost everyday, to the turkey named "Pat". (Don't forget some apples and carrots for the donkeys) Awesome is my word for this stay. We will be back to enjoy another stay. Valentino's Retreat is above excellent. I can't say enough about how happy we are that we chose this as our vacation home for a week. One we will never forget. So many memories....

This was my first time booking a home for a mini vacation. At first, I was nervous about booking but I'm so glad I did. OMG!!! The owners are very sweet and welcome you with open arms. The house has everything you'll need and more. Every room was clean and the pictures are not deceiving. Also being that the rooms are extremely expensive downtown and parking cost at least 30.00 or more daily its best to spend less and enjoy your time here. This is the perfect getaway for couples!!! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who plans on visiting the Nashville area. I definitely plan on going back in the near future.

We stayed one week in this quaint and cozy home. Jay and Dana were the best! The property was so peaceful and picturesque. Not to mention our new friends Jill and Maggie, the donkeys. The house had every amenity to make you feel right at home including a very comfortable bed. Jay provided us with so much information on places to go and things to see. He was gracious enough to give us a tour of his recording studio and their rental apartment above. The location is perfect, only 15 minutes drive to downtown Nashville yet felt we were in the country. We will definitely stay there next time we're in Nashville!

My husband and I booked our stay here to celebrate our anniversary away from the noise and crowds of L.A., and we happily got exactly what we wanted! Valentino's has all the amenities of home plus the beauty of the countryside. It has a great view from the patio, and I enjoyed listening to the birds while I was curled up with a book and my morning tea. When we were ready for adventure, the Opry, Music Row, and the Country Music Hall of Fame were less than a half hour away. What really makes this place special though, is the personal attention to detail. Although we arrived after dark, check-in was a breeze. The ambient lights were welcoming after a long day of travel. I loved the artful decor . . . from the memorabilia to the lights to the little sequins in the shower curtain, I really felt like I was in Nashville. The full kitchen had everything we needed, so we had the option to cook some meals in, and just hang out, watch movies and relax in between exploring parts of the city. All-in-all, the owners were friendly, down-home, genuine people, and they did everything they could to see that we had a good time in their town! We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Valentino's Retreat for 3 nights back in April, and absolutely loved it. We were on an 8 week road trip across the USA, and this was by far the best place we stayed. We have stayed in similar places since the trip ended too, and nothing even comes close. The house was charming and had everything you could need, just like at home. It was perfect for us as our trip was quite tiring with a lot of driving, and it gave us the R&R we needed at that point in the trip. As well as being a lovely and quiet spot, there were so many features to enjoy such as the great big deck to sit out on with sweeping views, the big comfy bed and the embroidered towels. Dana and Jay were delightful when we met them on our final day before we departed, we had a great chat and they helped us print off some documents we needed. We hope that we can return one day and have been telling all of our friends to visit!

I stayed here for three weeks for a business trip. Jay and Dana were wonderful hosts. The place was clean, in a beautiful location, and convenient to explore Nashville. A big thanks to Jay and Dana!

Dana and Jay besides being two of the nicest and most generous hosts offer a fantastic country setting to enjoy Nashville from. After a night of crazy on Broadway - nothing better than to sit on the back deck and strum you guitar to the birds, and turkeys, and Maggie and Jill the mini-donkeys. Found the location ideal to get in and out of the city. Best of both worlds - enjoy the bustle of downtown and the serenity of Tennessee country. What better way to spend time in Nashville than that. Top it off, your host is a Gold Record recording artist! Make sure to take up Jay on a visit to the recording studio on Music Row. Can't say enough good things about our stay. Thank you Dana and Jay and will be back when we hit Nashville again.

After reading all of the reviews, we went to Valentino's retreat for our wedding anniversary. Jay and Dana were great hosts and the cottage was even prettier in person compared to the pictures posted online. It's clean, well furnished and very charming. Dana even ordered a beautiful arrangement of roses for me and placed them on the kitchen counter as a surprise for my wife. We had an arduous trip before arriving but the roses helped save the day. Once we arrived and settled in our cares melted away and we enjoyed both exploring Goodlettsville as well as trips to Nashville and just relaxing in our cozy little cottage.

We stayed for three nights, and we really found this location to be very convenient for our numerous excursions. Valentino's Retreat was roomy and comfortable for the two of us, and the décor really had a fun, "Music City" vibe. Watching cows grazing in the backyard while having breakfast on the deck was a delight!

We knew from the reviews that Valentino's Retreat would be a good experience. What we didn't expect was how the experience would so outperformed beyond our expectations. First, Jay & Dana are exceptional people, that deliver an experience that is worth so much more than the price. The retreat is adorable with phenomenal country views on a 63 acre farm. The cottage is decorated to feel homey yet with the spirit of the area & owners. The wrap around deck provided great views of pastures, woods, Deer, Turkeys & hawks. Not to mention the hot-footed squirrels that sprint along the pastor fences to the asserted Oak trees. So peaceful & relaxing.Yet, it is only 20 minutes from downtown Nashville. The bed was very comfortable as was all of the furniture. The entire experience left us wanting more. The owners, Jay & Dana make your stay more than just a place to sleep but an incredible experience. The farm is such a great place. So beautiful. On top of that, Jay met us at his studio on Music Row; Jays Place & showed us the studio & their other Vacation experience-"Chateau on the Row". It was a great experience and we loved the tour, the time & the stories he shared. What a fantastic way to end our time. We are also really hoping to come back & experience "Chateau on the Row". If you want a great Nashville experience, do yourself a favor & start with Valentino's Resort.

We stayed at Valentino's retreat for a getaway to Nashville, our first time there. After checking in to the cottage, we didn't want to leave! So peaceful! We absolutely loved everything , Jay and Dana could not have been nicer and the Farm is Beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. we thought the House was very modern , clean and had all the amenities that you need.We actually got to spend some time with Jay and saw his Recording studio (which was awesome) and went to hear his band play at a local club. Jay also gave us great tips on where to eat and places to see, it gave us a real feel for Nashville that I don't think we would have gotten otherwise.. You won't be dissapointed !!

Perfect for vacationing in Nashville - away from the city but only 20 minutes into town! Peaceful, quiet, secure, comfortable and BEAUTIFUL cottage! Jay and Dana are great hosts too:) Absolutely recommend to anyone seeking the Nashville experience AND it was so much more affordable. Pictures are exactly what you will find. I live in a huge metroplex, why would I rent a hotel in a busy city when I have the opportunity to stay at such an awesome place??? Thanks Jay & Dana!

We came to Nashville to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Valentino's Retreat is the perfect place, quiet, clean and peaceful. Everything about the cottage is exactly as pictured. Jay and Dana are the wonderful hosts. Easy drive to Nashville and surrounding areas.

This place was in a wonderful setting and was close to many things yet seemed to be "in the middle of nowhere". The owners met us upon arrival and were extremely nice and welcoming. The view was amazing and was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed watching TV with a glass of wine and setting on the massive deck at night watching the 100's of fireflies. (literally, more than I've ever seen) I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is wanting a peaceful retreat away from things yet close enough to do anything you'd like. We got Takeout from the Chef's Market, which the owners recommended, and I would highly advise anyone else to do the same:)

We are so grateful to have found Valentino's Retreat. The energy in the home and around the property is very peaceful and it was the perfect place for my family. There were three of us - my husband, my 10 year-old daughter and myself. If we didn't have plans to visit the downtown area, we would've been perfectly content hanging at the property the whole time, minus a few trips to the local grocery store for food. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and had all the amenities of home. Jay and Dana, the owners of the property, were very accommodating. We are already planning a return trip. For those of you needing a weekend retreat and who aren't into the Nashville scene, this really is a nice place to get away for some peace of mind.

Despite the freak snow and ice storm - we really loved our stay! The location enough to the city that it was easy to get to all of our tours and restaurants, but far enough away that there was peace and quiet. Jay and Dana did everything to make our stay perfect - including shoveling the stairs and a guide to get out of the snowy drive! Wish we could have been there in better weather to take advantage of the property more. Would definitely stay again next time we make it to Nashville!

Staying at Valentino's retreat was amazing! Secluded enough to feel away from the noise, but a close drive to local shops, restaurants and stores. Less that a half hour drive to downtown. The property was gorgeous and the owners had great hospitality. Very quaint. Will definitely make another visit soon!

We booked Valentino's for the last few days of our week long visit to Nashville and it was just what we needed after a stay in Downtown. Heaven....pure heaven! So peaceful, yet close enough go drive to the city for live music. I am extremely fussy and I didn't have one complaint! You won't be disappointed!

We absolutely loved this place! Great location to retreat back to after watching music in the city all day. Some amazing restaurants very close by that Jay recommended. The property is gorgeous, the bed is extremely comfortable and the whole place is decorated perfectly with class and style, yet still super cozy. It smelled amazing too, when we walked in my nose was doing a happy dance because it smelled so lovely inside. We can't wait to go back!!!

We were the first guest at Valentino's retreat and it was perfect. We are locals and were looking for a nice get a way to celebrate our anniversary. The owners were very warm and welcoming. The home was clean, well furnished kitchen with attention to details such as providing stables like olive oil and vinegar. Close enough to the city yet far enough to provide the perfect get away. The porch was a perfect place for a evening drink and morning coffee. There was nothing that could have made it a more enjoyable stay.
