The Cohen Loft is a beautifully restored third story loft in the heart of downtown Nashville. Originally built in the late 1800's the Cohen building was built as a Renaissance Revival-style building by Meyer and Etta Brinkley Cohen.

The couple owned a lucrative jewelry shop on the first floor and occupied the top two levels as their lavish downtown residence. Mrs. Cohen lived and entertained here from the time of her marriage in 1897 until 1930 at the time of her death. She was well known around Nashville for her lavish parties. The Cohen Building is a piece of history with longtime roots in the downtown Nashville community.

Today the historic 19th century Cohen building is home to Modern Trousseau, a couture bridal shop, on the first floor, the second floor is occupied with the corporate headquarters Giarratana Development and Premier Parking. In 2012 Sanders Pace Architectural firm was hired to restore the building and create a custom loft dwelling on the third floor. The third floor is now a stunning private vacation rental property boasting 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths and sleeping capacity for 8. The 3055 square foot vacation rental is a one of a kind luxury retreat steps away from Broadway and all of Nashville's finest attractions and destinations.

The Cohen Loft has it all: location, well appointed, lots of space and comfortable beds. We are 4 women who travel together once a year to a different city. This was definitely our best accommodation ever! With a grocery store, wine store, restaurants, Starbucks, within a block, and secure parking, the location could not have been better. We all wish that we had time to make a meal with the Wolf stove...but we preferred to snack with our wine and cheese in the very comfortable living area (and watch the activity on the street below!) and then walk to the local restaurants for dinner. And a big thank you to Owen for all of her assistance while we were there.

I cannot say enough good things about the Cohen loft! The location is amazing! It’s right in the middle of everything in downtown Nashville! There’s a Starbucks & Puckett’s right across the street and little grocery store (good for late night booze runs!) right next door. The loft itself is so breathtaking. The views are gorgeous! And the interior decorating is so simple and refreshing. All of the open space is so nice especially when you have a lot of people. It’s definitely a great place for entertaining!

The Cohen Loft is great place for a large group Nashville getaway! We had a big bunch of girls stay here for a 40th birthday celebration weekend. The loft is absolutely gorgeous, HUGE, and has the best location in town. Within just a few blocks we had Printer's Alley, Ryman Auditorium, Honky Tonk Row, Puckett's, a grocery store, a liquor store, a Walgreen's, the list goes on and on. We were trapped by the President's Day weekend icestorm and the loft was gracious enough to extend our stay. Owen, the manager is fantastic and was readily available at all times. My only recommendation is that if you travel in the winter bring layers - the building is old which makes it quite drafty. Hope to stay here again someday!

From the second we walked into this loft we were blown away! Not only is is beautiful, and spacious, but it is also incredibly clean! It was close enough to walk everywhere and I loved that it had secure parking! Our stay in Nashville was so much fun and this rental made it even better!

I loved staying at the Cohen Loft. The decor is beautiful, the place is clean, and it's huge! I love old buildings and this place is perfectly done. A great mix of old character and modern convenience. The master suite is beautiful. We especially loved the master bathroom. The shower is so nice and the bathtub is giant. (Our 2 year old wouldn't get out!) It's the perfect location. Walking distance to everything. It was great to wake up and just walk to grab some food or just enjoy downtown. If you're looking for an exceptionally nice/safe/convenient place to stay in downtown Nashville, then this is the spot for you! We will definitely be back!

I had to attend a conference in Downtown Nashville and all the hotels were very expensive for what you get. I was traveling with several of my co-workers and the Cohen Loft was just perfect!! It was walking distance to our conference, but more importantly, it was right in the heart of all the fun things in Downtown Nashville like good food, drinks and live music!! We were able to entertain a few clients for dinner and they absolutely were so impressed with the decor, comfort and view. I even noticed people down on the street below enviously looking up at us. I am certain they were wishing they could join us. :-) Owen, the property manager, was the best!! She made sure that we had all the information we needed to enjoy our trip. Cannot say enough good about her and her communication. Loved the secure nature of the front door and elevator to the loft. Can't wait to go back!!
