About The Rental
Planted conveniently between Loop 1 and Interstate 35, very close to North Lamar Boulevard, this airy, well-lit home will fill all your needs for a long weekend away with friends. The sleeping arrangements offer two large master bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and one with a queen-sized bed, as well as a wall alcove with a twin bed. The couch downstairs pulls out into a double bed with high-quality linens for what’s likely to be the best fold-out couch experience of your life.
The rental spans 2,000 square feet and is able to house up to seven people, including children, for a minimum three-night stay. The house is non-smoking and you can bring your pets if you talk to the owner first. There are two full bathrooms and one half-bathroom, both outfitted with extra towels.
A deck that is attached to the master bedroom on the third floor extends over the patio and is an ideal location for sunbathing, drinking, stargazing, or whatever else you may desire. Up to 13 people can fit in the dining room, with five people at the bar and eight people seated at the table, so it’s a perfect place to bring your friends. The kitchen is fully stocked with enough cooking appliances and utensils for any amateur chef, so plan to dine in for at least one of your meals in Austin.
The back of the house opens onto a patio and backyard featuring a fireplace, a table that seats six, as well as a grill, if s’mores or burgers are calling your name.
The Brentwood house has been outfitted to make your stay as convenient as possible. Amenities include air conditioning and heating, a washer and dryer, extra towels and linens, and an ironing board and iron for your use. Free Wi-Fi, a Sonos sound system, a Wii, basic cable, and an Apple TV with Netflix and HBO Go come included.
Things To Do in the Neighborhood
Brentwood is an easily walkable and drivable neighborhood. The house is only five minutes from the University of Texas campus and five to ten minutes away from downtown. HEB, Walgreens, and Central Market are nearby for your grocery needs.
There is a cornucopia of dining options in Brentwood. Some major local café players include Monkey Nest Coffee, Thunderbird Cafe, and Epoch Coffee. Austin is known for its taco culture, so it’s worth making a stop at Taco Deli to get a taste of some of that Southern Tex-Mex flavor for yourself, or get a full, seated meal and admire the décor at Fonda San Miguel. Snack on some sushi from nearby Uchiko, or if you’re too lazy to go out, order in from East Side Pies. If you need to walk off the food coma, Brentwood Park is nearby, or you can drive to Antonelli’s in Hyde Park for a cheesy dessert! Top if all off with some wine from Apothecary Café and Wine Bar, and you’ll have yourself a good night.
