6. Sauvie Island Farms – Portland
Throughout the year, Sauvie Island Farms is known for their variety of ‘pick your own’ fruits and vegetables for those who desire the freshest produce right from the field. Their season begins in June with strawberries and ends in December with Christmas trees. Not only do they offer Douglas Grand and Noble firs, they also have wreaths and cedar gardens to decorate the rest of your home.
7. Sunny Day Tree Farm – Sherwood
Set on top of 80 acres that overlook the Willamette Valley wine country, the Sunny Day Tree Farm is another great place to pick out this year’s Christmas tree. Since 1975, this farm has been offering Nordmann and Turkish firs that range from heights of 6 to 10 feet tall. Unlike most other tree farms where you pay by the foot, all of the trees here are the same price, just $50 for U-cut or $55 for pre-cut. 8. Hamburg 4D Tree Farm – Sandy
Bring in the holiday season with a tree from Hamburg 4D Tree Farm in Sandy. Just be sure to check their website because last year, so many families visited that they ran out of trees! Maybe it’s because they have a great selection of Noble and Grand fir that reach up to 14 feet tall, and all trees are only $20, no matter what the size. Yes, $20. Not only that, while you’re there, you can enjoy hot cocoa or hot apple cider along with a cup of chili while you warm up next to the fire under their covered deck. Children get free candy canes and you can decorate an ornament to take home for your tree.
