1. Demarest Farms - Hillsdale, New Jersey

Address: 244 Wierimus Road

Hours: 8 AM to 6:30 PM, middle of April to Thanksgiving

This farm is the perfect place to go if you want to catch a ride, buy fresh produce, and learn about some family history. A business since 1866, Demarest Farms allows you to pick your own pumpkins and apples, as well as buy some fresh apple cider or cider donuts. The hayrides go on all day, and give you a good trip around the farm.


2. Orts Farms - Long Valley, New Jersey

Address: 25 Bartley Road

Hours: 10 AM to 7 PM, March 18th to December

This local family farm has been around for quite some time, and offers a good variety of harvest season attractions. Along with some awesome hayrides, this farm also offers horseback rides on Clydesdales—one of the only farms to do so! You can also pick your own pumpkins, gourds, and Indian corn here; as well as check out some farm animals and take a trip through the corn maze.


3. Lentini Farms - Newton, New Jersey

Address: 251 High Street

Hours: Mondays 10 AM – 6PM, Fridays 5 PM – 10 PM, Saturdays and Sundays 10AM – 10 PM

In the fall, Lentini offers a huge 13-foot tall corn maze for you to get lost in, or go on a nice hayride through. The farm also has a nice petting zoo, on top of many pumpkins you can pick, and a haunted hayride around Halloween if you’re in for getting a little spooked.


4. Donaldson Farms - Hackettstown, New Jersey

Address: 358 Allen Road

Hours: Monday-Saturday 8 AM – 7 PM, Sunday 8 AM – 6 PM, April to November

Donaldson Farms has been growing fresh produce for years, and in the fall they offer a lot of fun events for you and the family. From September to October, the farm has hayrides, as well as horse drawn wagon rides and corn mazes for you to check out on the weekends. You can also have a birthday celebration or group event at the farm, where you could pick your own pumpkins and gourds and enjoy some cider.


5. Heaven Hill Farm's Great Pumpkin Festival - Vernon, New Jersey

Address: 451 Route 94

Hours: Saturdays and Sundays 10 AM - 6 PM

Located near the Appalachian Mountains, this farm provides a Pumpkin Land Fest from the end of September until November. Here, you can go on fun hayrides while also checking out carnival games, and corn mazes. You can also check out the hay sculpting contest, where people take their artistic skills and make cool creations out of hay.


6. Wightman's Farms - Morristown, New Jersey

Address: 1111 Mt. Kemble Avenue

Hours: Every day, 8 AM - 6 AM

This family owned farm has been running for years, and during the fall they have hayrides that give you a tour of the farm. You can also check out the corn maze, pick your own pumpkins, or visit the cider mill they have running. There is also a market nearby where you can purchase fresh produce.
