If Leos had a catchphrase, it’d likely be “go big or go home.” The energetic, eager, and ambitious fire sign is always looking to be the center of attention, whether it be by serving as the leader of a group or being pampered before a night on the town. Depending on what type of vacation they’re looking for, Leos can usually be found relaxing at a luxurious resorts, seeking an adventure or exploring up-and-coming travel destinations — pretty much anywhere that improves their social standing. Here are a few places to Leos should travel in 2016.
Where To Travel To If You’re A Leo
Nothing says luxury quite like Dubai, where everything from skiing in the 100+ degree weather to staying in a 7-Star hotel to riding in a Bugati taxi is not only possible, but normal for tourists. Leos will love the indulgence that any trip to Dubai brings. Visit between October and April when the hot temperatures are slightly more bearable.
Once considered a somewhat seedy town, new high-rise, luxury resorts have made Vegas the go-to destination for entertainment (J.Lo recently began a new residence at Planet Hollywood), food (restaurant Joel Robuchon has three Michelin stars), and partying (Calvin Harris and Diplo will perform at clubs for President’s Day.)
The 2016 European Capital of Culture, San Sebastian is known as a city of indulgence — and as one of the best places to eat, party and tan. Leos should go before the beach city gets too crowded — it was already on the New York Times “52 Places to Go in 2016” list.
4. Marfa, Texas
This out-of-nowhere destination has trendsetters from all over the country suddenly on a road trip bound for Texas. Leos will love being the first of their friends to travel to this desert town, known as a cultural hotspot full of contemporary art and resident artists.
The original luxury destination, Paris’s lights, shopping and all around beauty will leave Leos feeling stylish. The fact that it’s the fashion and food capital of the world won’t hurt either.
Leos will love the exclusivity of Big Sur — it takes a somewhat harrowing drive to get there — as well as the spas, organic cuisine and, of course, the untouched natural wonders.
7. Maui, Hawaii
Leos don’t have to go abroad to get a taste of laid-back island life. Instead, they can head to Maui, where the slower pace and high-end accommodations will be just what they need to recharge their batteries while feeling pampered.
Leos feeling a little more wild can head to Queenstown, adventure capital of the world, where they can use their boundless energy to bungee jump, white water raft, ski and hike.
9. Cairo, Egypt
No matter how much Leos are living it up, they probably still don’t have much on the pharaohs. That’s why they’ll love seeing the pyramids, sphinxes and treasures of this ancient civilization.
The cultural capital of the United States, New York has everything that a Leo could want in a destination: some of the nicest hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. Leos will feel like they’re living the life among the hustle and bustle of the big city.
