The Amelia Island Museum of History is the first spoken history museum in the entire state of Florida. Go on a walking tour of the museum and learn about the history of the island from a docent. The museum features rotating exhibits like the upcoming “Exploring and Preserving Our Natural History”. It also offers permanent exhibits like the “Discovery Ship”, an interactive exhibit for children that teaches them about life on a ship. The permanent exhibit “Spanish Missions of La Florida combines artifacts and stories to explain the Spanish mission period of Nassau County.
