Things to do in Shaver Lake

Spend a day enjoying the lake for which this community is named. Bring your own watercraft, or rent one at the Shaver Lake Marina. The lake is also stocked with fish, making it a great spot to spend the afternoon. The summer months can get quite warm, so the cool water will certainly be a refreshing break from the heat.

There are many opportunities to partake in an adventure here! Look for horseback riding, off-road vehicle tours, and mountain biking at China Peak Mountain Resort. If you’re a more experienced outdoorsman or outdoorswoman, bring your climbing gear and enjoy the vast array of granite formations to explore.

Day Trips from Shaver Lake

Yosemite National Park is only an hour and a half from Shaver Lake. To beat the crowds, go during the off season, approximately October through April.
