The Cottage at Barrow Mead! When we visited this delightful cottage, we couldn't believe it is where it is and that you are actually IN Bath, but actually you're not!! As you pass through Bath, you suddenly find this little lane running alongside a school; approximately 1/2 mile later and you're in the middle of nowhere, overlooking the rolling countryside of the southern Cotswolds. Hikers, birdwatchers and those in search of peace are just as likely to enjoy this super cottage as are those looking for culture, shops and a gastronomic experience, given its proximity to the heart of Bath, which is just 15 minutes away in the bus or car. Inside, the open plan ground floor gives a real sense of space which, with the woodburning stove, is just as welcoming and snug in winter as it is cool and inviting in summer. The private garden area overlooking the orchard and rolling countryside offers a super hideaway, while listening to birdsong. A little piece of heaven in Bath
