Modernised, spacious town house with garden, pool and terrace views

Casa Limonera is a freshly modernised town house, yet retaining many traditional features (e. G. Chestnut beams, terracotta tiles). It extends over three floors, not counting the ancient cellar, with extensive views from the rooftop terrace. Unusually, there is a mature, shady garden with a fruitful lemon tree and grapevine. Plunge pool installed in the corner of the garden. Barbecues possible. Newly renovated to create light, spacious, flexible accommodation. Situated in a very quiet street, yet close to the centre of the village. Gaucin is a pretty, lively village with a population of about 2000, which includes an active group of expatriates. The number of tapas bars, restaurants and shops are quite disproportionate to its size. Nature walks, hiking, cycling, bird-watching and horse-riding are available. Not to mention golf and beach pursuits. Fantastic location: Gaucin's position is unbeatable, 600 m up the Serrania de Ronda, with views to the Crestellina mountain to the south, and to Gibraltar and Morocco to the west. British officers used to ride here for the weekend during the Napoleonic Wars, doubtless encouraging the local hostelries and tapas bars of that time. Around the village one can walk through unspoilt hills, watch a huge variety of birds- including impressively large one like Griffon Vultures and Short-Toed Eagles. Parking nearby: The house is on a steep road leading up to the village. There are 2 parking slots very close to the house, with plenty more in the wide street nearby which leads to the Church
