This apartment home is 1800 square ft. Ground floor with no steps whatsoever and is fully accessible. The garage parking is very close and the access path is handicap accessible. The spacious living room has hardwood flooring and a fireplace with gas insert. It has a wood stove and centralized and very comfortable hot water base board heat from the lodge centralized boiler system. The kitchen has a gas stove and oven, dishwasher, and spacious fridge for lengthy stays. There are two air conditioning window units that keep the bedroom and living area cool. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, coffee pots, dishes, bowls, silverware, paper towels and many convenient appliances to make your stay as comfortable and as convenient as home. There is a pantry and plenty of cabinet space complete with all the dishes, glasses, bowls and utensils you could use. The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed with the latest foam mattress technology. Above this bed is a skylight so you can lie in bed enjoying a starlit night. The master bath has both a full Jacuzzi tub and personal shower. The Jacuzzi tub and toilet are fully accessible. The room has spacious closets and plenty of drawer space. The second bedroom has two single mattress in a trundle bed with views to the lake and has a woodstove. A third bedroom area has two single mattress within a trundle bed. This area has closet space and dresser. We provide clean bedding and towels for your use so that you only need to bring the necessities. We provide an outdoor grill and the grounds includes a back patio with fire pit, tables and chair for dining. This area is also used by the apartment unit. The unit if fully accessible with WIFI, Cable television, and separate seating areas for playing video games or enjoying a very good book. There is an off street parking and the vacation home has two garage spaces. The parking area is large and can accommodate a second vehicle even a large recreational vehicle. This historic lodge in located in one of the safest and most upscale neighborhoods in all of Hendersonville, North Carolina. This lodge is located in Laurel Park, known locally as the town on the mountainside. This historic lodge was once located on a beautiful mountain lake where folks from many surrounding states vacationed to swim and enjoy some of the first water slides in North Carolina. Today, there is a smaller 3-acre lake, which is now surrounded by a nature park. This apartment home has a wonderful view of this lake and the lovely historic homes of the lower Laurel Park community. Ascending this mountain community are some very luxurious mountain homes, bed and breakfasts, and gorgeous neighborhoods. At the top of this mountain lies a beautiful park called Jump-Off Rocks with spectacular panoramic views to communities hidden in the surrounding Appalachian Mountains. This park has great picnic areas and scenic trails favored by the locals and visitors. From this apartment home you can leisurely watch the ducks, egrets, geese, and other waterfowl frolic in Lake Rhododendron; so named for the lovely Rosebay and Catawba Rhododendron, with their lovely lavender blooms profusely blooming in the summer time. Locals have been known to catch some sizable bass and panfish in this small lake. You can view a waterfall within walking distance in this neighborhood and enjoy a stroll along lovely homes to historic downtown Laurel Park or Hendersonville. Take a walk in the nature park and enjoy the birds that frequent it, and possibly catch site of a bluebird that has called one of the nesting boxes their family home. The lake has just been dredged so that swimming can again become a favored summer activity. The locals take pride in their landscapes and so you can enjoy a display of flowering yards all summer long, which do indeed include the town’s name stake, the gorgeous mountain laurel. A neighboring park has swings and a wonderful children’s play area where many local town activities such as the Easter egg hunt or events such as the apple or strawberry festivals are annually held.
