PLEASE Inquire (click "Send a Message"), rather than doing a Request to Book (Booking). Because we list on 5 different sites, our calendar is not always up to date. We do our best, but because the demand is so high, we get inundated with reservation requests and then get penalized by for declining the ones that are not a good fit. Help us out and send an inquiry first! We promise to respond very quickly! Our typical response rate is 2-10 minutes

This unique accommodation for two is truly an exotic, far-east getaway in the heart of the west (San Diego)

Private areas includes a bedroom with a sized bed, yoga area, meditation lamp, incense, Himalayan salt lamps, ancient Sherpa/Tibetan tapestries on the walls, prayer wheels, and a large Buddhist shrine brought directly from the Mt Everest region of Nepal

The bedroom features a private attached bathroom with modern shower

The modern conveniences are build into the room including tons of closet space for your things, wide-screen internet) TV, subdued lighting, heating/AC, very fast Wi-Fi, and a sun-facing window

Guests also get use of the common areas of our house, including a full kitchen, dining room, living room, washer/dryer, and a patio with an incredible mountain top view (see the photos)

You have full access to a fully stocked kitchen (a separate refrigerator for long-term guests has been ordered and will be here any day). Also full access to our living room, dining room, and other common areas

We also offer wireless access to a laser printer and scanner

The view from the dining room table includes all of East San Diego, most of the local mountains and hiking spots, and overlooks Gillespie Field; a small airstrip that features many restored historical aircraft

Depending on her schedule, Mrs, Sherpa might be around to invite you to enjoy a drink of traditional yak butter tea, a Nepali breakfast, or join us for dinner. The same type of food Mrs. Sherpa used to eat when growing up in her village of Lukla, near Mt Everest, (at 10, 00 feet in the mountains of Nepal)
