Description

Come relax on this gorgeous slice of unspoiled Maine coast! This adorable family cabin has been a get-away for generations of sailors. It sits 30 ft from the water on a quiet, private point of land with multiple rocky beaches. There is a deep water dock, prefect for fishing, sun bathing or a daring plunge, which may occasional be used by the family to access moored boats. Take a rest in the hammock as you look out over undeveloped Farnham Cove, or settle down in the sun for a peaceful book or a bird watch while the kids explore. There are many nearby trails that are part of Boothbay Land Trust, or drive 10 minutes to be in downtown Boothbay Harbor with fine restaurants and shopping, check out the great aquarium or the amazing Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. Later watch a perfect sunset as you roast marshmallows in our beautiful stone fireplace. The cabin interior is rustic, wood paneled with high, open rafters and an open living/dining space. We have a deck overlooking the cove, covered porch, hammock, grill, laundry line (and laundromat 7 min. Away in town), WIFI, TV, music, and lots of fun games. Comfortable beds have quality cotton sheets and duvets with two bedrooms, one with 2 twins and a bunk bed, the other with a queen, and a double futon in the open living area for overflow. The cabin is kept very clean and is a low allergen environment (sorry no pets or smoking). There is one newly renovated bathroom with a cheery red floor, pedestal sink, and new shower. The funky kitchen has new aqua boomerang counter tops and 50's vintage tableware, and everything necessary to cook a delicious meal (even lobster), which you will want to do since the evenings are so beautiful here! The cabin is not fancy, but it is divine
