Two rushing rivers are nearby: the Nantahala River and the Tuckaseegee River. Home of the 2013 IFC World Championship, the rushing Nantahala River is about half an hour from the cabin. The nearby Tuckaseegee River is a less heart-pounding experience. Crisp cool waters are sure to refresh with tubing at Deep Creek or the Oconaluftee River. Awaken your inner explorer by hiking trails at Deep Creek. Three waterfalls are waiting for you to discover them -- Juneywhank Falls, Tom Branch Falls, and Indian Creek Falls.
