A Place to Get Away From It All

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms

The house is located in the heart of nature, where you can discover the beautiful flora and fauna that define this area. This space provides the opportunity to experience various outdoor activities. Not only does the land allow for scenic walks and a terrific view of the sunset, but it is also just a short drive away from the historic Harpers Ferry, the C&O Canal, the Appalachian trail, and the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, all of which are located within a three-mile radius
The house is on a secluded gravel drive with only one neighbor. The house is overall very quiet and in the middle of nature. There are three separate bedrooms in the house and a sofa bed in the living room. There is a full kitchen available for guests. There is always a nice breeze at the home, but for your comfort there are ceiling fans throughout and window AC units in each room and the common area. This is truly a place to disconnect: there is no Wi-fi or TV

Our family has very much enjoyed living in the Harpers Ferry area and has spent a lot of time exploring the outdoor activities and historical landmarks this area has to offer. We are always happy to recommend somewhere to hike, enjoy the river or tell you where the nearest store is located
Neighborhood overview
Old town Harpers Ferry is a national landmark and is a short 5 minute drive from the home. We usually park on the Maryland side of the Potomac and walk across the footbridge into town. In town there are lots of restaurants and shops and the National Park Service runs historic tours. There is also a train to Washington DC that runs multiple times a day if you would like to take a day trip to our nation's capital. The Potomac River has a flat towpath that runs along the river for many miles and is great for family walks or biking. The river and the surrounding mountains offer family fun in the form of tubing, free boat access areas, fishing, white water rafting, canoe and kayak rentals, zip-lining, rock climbing and areas that are safe for swimming. There are multiple day hikes in the area including the Appalachian trail that we can help you plan
