This truly stunning and beautifully renovated 1870’s farmhouse sits atop a granite ledge at the quiet end of Watts Avenue. Surrounded by a well-manicured and sprawling lawn, the property abuts a quiet wood and is just a 10 minute walk to Tenants Harbor Village. The property is open, airy, sunny and a perfect combination of classic details and modern elements. In the Village you will find the Town Landing, a well-stocked general store, post office, a fabulous library, several small shops as well as several restaurants such as the East Wind Inn and the Quarry Tavern. Port Clyde Village (home of the Marshall Point Lighthouse and Monhgean Island Ferry) and sandy Drift Inn Beach is just a ten minute drive away – and the larger seaside cities of Rockland and Camden are also close by. Ledgeview has two bikes and two kayaks are also available for guest use. The house is hardwood throughout. The master is on the first floor with a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a custom shower. The living area of the first floor is large and open with a gorgeous and sunny dining room flowing into the kitchen. The kitchen has high ceilings, granite countertops and high end appliances and cookware. The kitchen’s breakfast bar is a welcoming spot overlooking the deck. The deck looks overs the backyard (which is tastefully fenced in for those with small children or approved pets) and is a great spot for cookouts on the gas grill, coffee in the morning, relaxing with a book in the afternoon or have cocktails as the sun sets on another perfect Maine day. There is an umbrella for shade as well. The crown jewel of the first floor is the den with vaulted ceilings, built in bookshelves, plenty of comfortable seating and a stunning gas fireplace. The den has a flat screen television with cable. The second floor has a large full bathroom with a separate tub and a custom shower. There are three bedrooms on this floor as well. The first bedroom has two twin beds and the second and third bedrooms have queen beds. The third bedroom also has a workspace for those who may need to do work while on vacation. Ledgeview is a fantastic rental for a family or a group of couples traveling together. It has also been popular with couples who want a place to welcome extended family for shorter visits! Dogs are welcomed with pet fee and acceptance of pet policy. We will need to know size, breed and age of the dog. The property has a fenced in backyard.
