Seaside also is home to numerous annual events including annual Fourth of July celebration which includes a parade, outdoor concerts, and large fireworks on display. The Miss Oregon Pageant, which is the official state finals to the Miss America Pageant takes place annually at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center.

Located just 10 minutes south of Seaside, Cannon Beach is best known for its art galleries and beautiful natural wonders. On the beach, Haystack Rock is sight to behold with tide pools at its base. Located just 18 miles from Seaside, visitors can witness the oldest settlement west of the Rockies at the historic seaport of Astoria on the Columbia River. The city of Astoria has a riverfront walk and a trolley that follows the historic waterfront district. About 18 miles east of Seaside is the Saddle Mount State Natural Area which is known for its rugged trail to the top of the mountain. The Spring and Summer seasons display beautiful colorful and diverse wildflowers.
