Information about Zephyr Cove

About Zephyr Cove

Zephyr Cove, Nevada is a small town located on the southeast side of beautiful Lake Tahoe, which straddles the Nevada-California border. Zephyr Cove is a popular place to stay when visiting Lake Tahoe thanks to the Zephyr Cove Resort, its great beaches and the stunning views of the mountains and the lake.

Things to do in Zephyr Cove

Zephyr Cove is known as a great place to take boat cruises on Lake Tahoe. The best cruise to take, which is a must for visitors, is to Emerald Bay, one of the most beautiful places on the lake. The cruise truly offers views of some of the most incredible scenery in the entire country. You can learn about South Lake Tahoe history thanks to the captain’s live narration and have the chance to see some great sights and take photos. Emerald Bay is also home to several hiking trails in the Desolation Wilderness Area if you’d like to go there for hiking.

At the private Zephyr Cove Resort beach is the Zephyr Cove Marina, where you can rent watercrafts and boats, wake, surf and paddle boards, fishing equipment and more so that you can spend time on the water. Another fun activity at Zephyr Cove Marina is parasailing above Lake Tahoe. It’s a very unique experience that takes you up 1,000 feet while attached to a rope pulled by a boat. It’s also not too expensive, so it’s definitely an activity to consider. Just minutes from the shores of the South Lake Tahoe shores is Lake Tahoe Golf Course, which is a great-value course and also very beautiful. It’s located in a mountain meadow surrounded by the high Sierras, making it very picturesque and fun to play. You can also take a short 5-10 minute drive to Stateline, where there are great casinos making it a fun place for nightlife.
