Information about Rangeley

About Rangeley

The Rangeley Lakes region in Franklin County, Maine is comprised of almost 99% forest and water. Six major lakes and hundreds of smaller bodies of water make up the base of Saddleback Mountain, a 4,120-foot behemoth of woodland. The area offers seasonal activities all year round, from swimming and boating in the summer to snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. The town of Rangeley grew tremendously as a result of tourism in the early 1900s, and has continued to be a summer resort and vacation destination to this day.
