Villa Veronika is a stone built holiday house in a typical Istrian village Rakalj. Rakalj is 25 km distant from Pula
Rakalj is the birthplace of the famous Istrian writer and economist Mijo Mirković. The house in which he was born now hosts an etnographic collection, and it`s 50 m from the house
In the past, Rakalj was famous for the production of traditional Istrian pottery. Stari Raklaj is located on a hill above the promontory of St. Nicholas in the Bay of Raša. This was a prehistoric fort, ancient fortification and medieval castle; today we can see the well-preserved church of St. Agnes. Local legends tell of the connection between this, pirate ships, storms at the sea and sunken treasure. Whether there is some truth in them, we cannot tell, but one thing is certain, here you will be welcomed by beautiful nature and magnificent views of the surrounding areas. Beautiful beaches and perfectly clear sea are just 3 km from the house. Ideal for a family holiday, or a break from the city rushes to have a no stress holiday in a peaceful untouched nature
The house has 80 m2, and first and ground floor. On the first floor there are two double bed bedrooms, a bathroom with a tub, and a reading/relax area with a sofa
On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, and a sofa. Also a bathroom with shower. Terrace in front if the house in a green yard, ideal for morning coffee or outdoor dinner. A barbecue in the garden is for our guests, also we have a hearth so our guests can try to prepare a traditional istrian dish - "peka"
Near the house we are growing organic seasonal vegetables and fruits, that guests themselves can pick from the garden
