Description

The Hughes family from Staffordshire gave us this review after a weeks holiday in April 2017. We thought it a super way to introduce you to the cottage

" The cottage is a gem of a holiday retreat. It is clean, tidy, well appointed and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and cosy and the living area is great to relax in after a days walking. The kitchen is well equipped and the two bathrooms are spacious. There was plenty of hot water and the walk in shower was powerful, clean and left us relaxed and fresh after the day. The washing machine and drying facilities provided for outdoor drying was also appreciated. The cottage is on the lower slopes of the Orme and as we have three young boys it was a safe haven for them to go out on the rocks at sunset climbing in their onesies and playing whilst we watched them with a breathtaking view over the bay and the mountains. We even had the Great Orme goats grazing outside our back door one morning which was a lovely sIght when sitting with a coffee in the back yard!
The Great Orme is on your doorstep - literally - with plenty of beautiful and peaceful walks. The beauty of this cottage is that you are already virtually at the Orme's Summit and the walks are less strenuous than when walking from the town. The Great Orme tram was a short walk across a field and provided a 60p trip to and from Llandudno. On occasions we did walk to and from the town also and although the walk is steep - it is not too much of a challenge and was quite enjoyable. There was also an option of walking into town and taking the £2. 50 taxi ride back to the cottage also which was well worth the money later on at night. The cottage was also packed with information about local restaurants, take away's offering free delivery to the cottage and things to do in the area, along with simple instructions on how to use the electrical appliances and the central heating. Everything had been thought of to make our holiday as perfect as it could possibly be. On the whole I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who wants complete comfort, peace and quiet with fantastic views and many beautiful walks on their doorstep. I would give this cottage a 5* anytime and we will be returning. Thanks so much for a lovely holiday. "

A big thank you for the glowing report - we couldn't agree more

Llandudno is a traditional Victorian seaside resort ideal for families and couples. Local attractions are too numerous to name but range from family beaches with donkey rides and a fun pier to the delightful funicular tramway leading to the summit of the Great Orme. Don't forget the dry ski slope and toboggan ride too if family fun is what you're looking for

Situated on the Orme the cottage is ideally placed for exploring the country park and is just a five minute walk from the halfway station for Llandudno's famous tramway

This cosy cottage is centally heated and has two bedrooms plus an attic room sleeping a maximum 5. The master bedroom with a king size bed has glorious coastal views while the double bedroom at the rear affords views to the summit of the Orme and the copper mine. There's a single bed in the attic room with velux roof lights allowing views over the town and the bay. Please note that the attic room is accessed via space saving stairs so may not be suitable for those with mobility problems or very young children. Outdoors there is a small courtyard to both front and rear

The lounge with colour TV and DVD plus a selection of board games also has a 'log effect' electric fire

The fully equipped dining kitchen has an electric oven, halogen hob, fridge/freezer and microwave with a breakfast area. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with a really useful extra WC and an automatic washing machine

Upstairs the large wet room has a walk in shower and heated towel rail plus a WC

The gated front courtyard has a patio table and chairs - ideal for the morning sun. This area is a real sun trap because of the surrounding wall. At the rear is a small courtyard - also with a small patio table and chairs. The gate leads to a grassed seating area with bench and slate table - perfect for the afternoon sun with views towards the halfway tram station and the Orme summit

A five minute walk from the cottage is the 9 hole pitch and putt course, while the two local golf courses are a few minutes drive. Maesdu is a part links course while North Wales golf club is a full links course

Llandudno is an ideal base to explore Snowdownia National Park and the adrenaline junkies will be thrilled by the receently opened zip wire world at Blaneau Ffestiniog as well as Surf Snowdownia; the world's first purpose built surf centre

Sorry - No dogs
