Artists’ Duplex in Uptown Minneapolis House at 910 West 31st Street. Cozy first floor of Uptown Minneapolis duplex. Large 1-bedroom apartment filled with light and art. There are high ceilings and lots of wood trim with hand-crafted, traditional character. Choose The Red House Uptown Minneapolis for our location, steps away from many great restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, bars and more. We are family friendly, with toys, games and kids books. Bryant Square Park is down the street. Owner onsite. We live upstairs with our two teen boys and a small dog — we are quiet and will stay out of your way, but we will be there if you need anything. Quality touches abound from fresh roasted coffee, Aveda shampoo and conditioner, soft cotton towels and lots of cozy fresh pillows. Open floor plan, as you enter the front room, there is a day bed with an extra twin bed hidden underneath (which we can roll out and pop up to standard twin bed height). The front room with daybed opens onto the living room/ sun-room with windows on three sides and a TV. The dining room is also adjacent to the front room. The one bedroom with a new queen-size bed is adjacent to the dining room. There is a bathroom off the bedroom with a shower and very deep clawfoot tub. (Disclaimer, if you have a hard time raising your leg up at the hip joint, this shower might not work out for you. ) The galley kitchen is near the rear of the house and it is small, but it has everything for cooking. Parking on the street out front or around the corner. Location: We are in Uptown, and that means: boutiques, shopping, & amazing restaurants. Walk one block to have a coffee - bring your dog! Or get a treat at Morrissey's Irish Pub on the other side of our block. Bryant Square Park is 1000 feet away, and features a playground, ice skating, kiddy pool and a recreation center. The 4 bus (15 minute ride to downtown) stops across the street. Drive to US Bank Stadium: 10 minutes. High Point Print Center is one block away. This is a busy urban neighborhood and you may hear people talking late at night as they walk back to their cars or homes. Wifi: free very fast secure house network. Yard: garden features many Minnesota natives. Spacious fenced yard for relaxing outdoors with brick patio seating, shade umbrellas, and a BBQ grill. The yard is a haven for birds and pollinators. We also have a mowed grass area and seasonal potted plants. Help yourself to our pesticide free edibles: mint, basil, rosemary, sage, raspberries and strawberries. If you bring a dog, you must keep it on a leash and stay with your dog in the yard -- the fence is old and a dog could get out in a couple places. Local knowledge: We offer a binder and a website with suggestions for favorite things to do in the the Twin Cities. We also have a list of babysitters and pet-sitters that I can send out upon booking. Beds: 1 bedroom unit. Queen bed in the one and only bedroom. New memory foam with cooling layer mattress. Cotton sheets, blanket, down comforter, cotton duvet cover. 6 pillows -- read in bed! Day bed (Two twin beds) in front room: The front room has a twin-size day bed set up like a couch-with a bunch of pillows. The day bed is actually is two twin beds, one tucked under the other. We keep with bedding on them for sleeping. We can roll out and pop up the tucked-under bed to standard height). TV: new 32 inch smart TV. We have “Hulu with Live TV” digital streaming and Roku player. Bring your own Netflix password or Amazon Prime password to log in and watch those. Plug in your laptop to the TV. No Cable available. Classic Nintendo NES game system from 2016. Classic Atari game system from 2016. DVD player. RedBox nearby at local Cub Foods. 3 miles away to rent DVDs. Dog friendly (You can bring 1 dog - over 2 years old, less than 25 pounds, and we have a $10/night pet fee) Message me for any questions. You must read and sign the Pet Addendum in the rental agreement must be read and signed (we will send you a pdf of the rental agreement upon booking). Decor- No old floral sheets and dank smells here- this apartment is a unique combination of bohemian and chic. Full of global and contemporary art, plants, original paintings, and sunlight. Linens: All beds have cotton sheets, and duvets. Bathroom: We have updated our plumbing and we have great water pressure for a house from 1890! The unit has its own water heater also. The bathroom is next to the bedroom with a shower and very deep clawfoot tub. Shower: Perfect for agile people. There is nothing to grab onto as you get in and out of the 24 inch high claw foot tub which has got to be 100 years old
