Description

After a summer of many bookings at our beach home, it is time to give the house a rest. We will consider requests for fall or winter bookings, but you will need to email us. Otherwise, once we determine the summer availability, the calendar will show all dates until then as blocked. Our shore house is situated one house back from the ocean in exclusive South Mantoloking. We have our own personal access to the beach. The beaches in this area are not heavily populated because of the private homes and private beach associations. There is an ocean view from the dining room and deck, and the sounds of the crashing waves will accompany your days here. In the main house we have on the first floor: a master bedroom (queen bed) with its own bathroom, 2 other bedrooms (one queen bed, and 2 twin beds) and a full bathroom, as well as a washer and dryer. Upstairs is an open floor plan consisting of a living room (that can be closed off with a sliding screen, allowing privacy when using the full sized sleeper sofa if needed), dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and a wrap around deck on three sides of the house. The 2nd building on our property has a 2 room plus bathroom guest area (queen bed plus full sized sofa sleeper), an outdoor shower and dressing area, and a garage (the garage is not for tenant use). There is a second outdoor shower attached to the house. A sandy play area is also on our property, and also a huge paver driveway that can accomodate at least 6 cars. Ceiling fans are throughout the house and guest house. Included with your rental: the linens and towels you will need (plus linen service at the end of your stay), kitchen with the necessities of making great meals, a BBQ, deck furniture, house cleaning (after you leave), utilities (the house has central AC, and the guest house has a window unit), 5 TVs, land line telephone, cable TV, and WIFI. This section of South Mantoloking is very residential, quiet, and relaxing, but located halfway between two boardwalks: Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights. We prefer to rent to people who want a relaxing and quiet vacation: not the loud, partying groups that would disturb the neighbors. We are friends with our neighbors, who do not rent their homes, and therefore, we ask that our tenants respect the atmosphere of the neighborhood. Pets are not allowed (family memebers have allergies). There are kennels nearby, for those travelling with their loved pets. And there is NO smoking in the house (a $1000 penalty fee will be charged to tenants who violate this policy. ) You may smoke on the deck, using ashtrays, and away from open windows. We require a minimum of 4 night stay in the fall. Children are welcome here, but please know that the house is not child-proof (such as: there are no cabinet locks, stairway gates, etc)
