Sandcastle Cottage Crail Fife for seaside holidays

Description

Near Roome Bay beach - a fantastic rocky cove with children's play area, this cosy cottage offers easy access to the Fife Coastal Path. A large enclosed back garden with patio provides a secure area for children to play and for the whole family to relax. Owned by Sandy and Susan since 1992, the cottage has been gradually upgraded over the years and has a VisitScotland 4-star self-catering grading, renewed annually. Decorated in a relaxed 'seaside' style, the cottage has lovely touches which make it a perfect hideaway all year round. We offer short breaks all year except July & August with rentals starting on a Friday or a Monday for 3 or 4 night short breaks at other times. This is a lovely base for parents visiting children at St Andrews University or for those just wishing to escape city living for a while. The master bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, and a travel cot available for our smaller guests. The second bedroom is simply furnished and has three single beds. On the ground floor, the large open plan dining area and kitchen has views to the garden, and is bright and airy. There is a high-chair provided. In the living room the driftwood and pebble gas fire provides extra heat if you choose to visit in the autumn or winter seasons. There are plenty of board games, books, DVDs and videos to while away the evenings. Crail Village has a good range of local shops, all within an easy strolling distance providing all you need for a successful self-catering holiday. Don't forget to sample the local seafood and ask the owners for restaurant recommendations. Being only 10 miles from St Andrews, and only two miles from Crail's own Balcomie Links, even the most experienced golfers will find a challenge nearby. Come and visit soon to find out why we have guests who return for a Sandcastle Cottage Holiday year after year
