Description

Welcome to my warm and colourful flat. I believe my flat reflects my personality - cheery and happy! I am delighted to welcome Airbnb guests into my home. The best thing about the flat is that it is about 3 minutes walk from Marylebone Station and 8 mins walk to Baker Street Station. That means you are in Zone 1 and very close to Bond Street, Marble Arch, Edgware Road etc. The flat is located on the ground floor. When the door opens, you come through a long passage into the colourful living room. I have used my art and fabrics from my travels around the world to decorate this space. There is a dining table for 4 people at the back of the living room. The kitchen is next to the dining table and is separate from the living room. It is fully equipped and I have left some basic cooking ingredients so that you can cook yourself a meal. Now walk back towards the front door and you will see the two bedrooms. Both are doubles and the master bedroom has an ensuite shower. The windows of both bedrooms overlook the street which is generally quiet. I have cut thick curtains up to keep the light out. Both bedrooms come with clean and freshly laundered sheets and bedding. I provide fluffy towels and shampoo and soap. And for the ladies there is a hair dryer. Baby cot and high chair can also be provided upon request. The guests will have access to the entire house. I am travelling and mostly away in Hong Kong. So my friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while we are away. They're an Airbnb management service team of Londoners who are Airbnb hosts themselves. I trust them to give you a warm welcome! Hostmaker will look after you, they are a friendly and professional bunch. If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch through the Airbnb platform. The flat is located in Marylebone - one of London's chic and trendy areas where beautifully dressed men and women sip coffee or the latest health juice on the High Street. That said, Marylebone is certainly not snooty, in fact it has a very relaxed vibe. I love the great transport links at Baker Street only 5 mins away. There are also numerous buses that one can catch from Baker Street that will take you to all parts of town. Some of my favourite things to do in the area is to stroll down Marylebone High Street all the way to Bond Street. There are many lovely interior design stores and fashion stores. You can find brands such as J. Crew, Anthropologie, Whistles, Claudie Pierlot etc. On the High Street. Then there are loads of lovely cafes and restaurants scattered around the area. Here are some of the ones that I like: - Opso does small Greek tapas- Coco momo is a friendly modern pub- Trishna - 1 Michelin star Indian place focusing on seafood (yummmmmy) - Natural Kitchen - great if you have kids with you! Organic and healthy meals. - Galvins de Luxe Bistro - charming wood panelled bistro on Baker Street. Try their famous crab lasagne. There are many more ideas that I can give you if you choose to stay :) Regent's Park which is one of the most delightful parks in London (its the home of London zoo) is also a 10 minute walk away. The closest tube station is Marylebone but you might find it easier to go to Baker Street as there is a more choice there. It is on the Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Circle, Bakerloo and Jubilee lines. Thats basically covers most of London for you. If you want to go to Bond Street, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben etc. Jump on the Jubilee line and you will be there in 10-15 mins. Going to Oxford Circus for shopping? No problem. Hop on to the Bakerloo line. For City works wanting to go to Moorgate, Farringdon or Liverpool Street you can take the Metropolitan or Hammersmith line. Home truths or things you should know that will avoid disappointment: - flat is on the ground floor - bedroom windows overlook the street. The street is generally quiet and dead quiet at night but London is a big city and one should not expect pin drop silence. - Check in after 11 pm will be charged at £40. Additional amenities include: bed linens/towels, smoking forbidden, essentials
