Description

Come and spend a week enjoying cottage life on Lake Muskoka just a 5 minute drive from downtown Gravenhurst. This custom designed home has extensive use of glass throughout providing panoramic views of Lake Muskoka. This unique home has 4 levels to it with lots of room for all family members. Meals can be prepared in a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, side by side fridge with ice and water dispenser also has a microwave, GE stove, compactor, dishwasher, and extra pots, pans and cutlery. Next to the kitchen is a large 6 person dining table with adjoining double French doors leading to the muskoka room and additional seating for 10, so families can dine together. A wood fireplace is located on this floor beside the dining table for those cool nights
The home has 4 bedrooms with 3 rooms having queen beds and the fourth room has 2 double bunk beds and sleeps an additional 6 people, ideal for children. There is also a pull out couch in the kids video games play room

The first deck is a private area off the master main floor bedroom. Then second main upper deck has plenty of room for 2 tables and umbrellas at the front and bbq situated at the side area. The lower deck is where the outdoor hot tub is protected from the weather, with a circular table for seating, and bedroom 4 has a small two person deck area facing the waterfront
The second level is where the family room, electric fireplace and tv are located with a beautiful view of the lake, and kids video playroom around the corner
The third level bunkbed room has its own bathroom and shower adjoining to it, while a second bathroom with sink, shower and tub is located between the second and third bedrooms. This level also a sauna, wood stove, and a separate fridge/freezer for your extra groceries

Additional Features
Muskoka Bay is connected to the main Lake Muskoka through a narrow passage, so the water is less choppy and great for tubing and waterskiing in the Bay

Because the water supplying is city water, you can avoid having to bring bottled jugs of water or worry about drinking water or showering with Lake water

Internet is present and cell phone reception is very good

The wharf and public boat access is just around the corner where the Seguin boat tours and Boston Pizza are located. There is a seadoo and boat rental also located in the wharf

All amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, banks, liquor store, beer store are all a 5 minute drive away

The hot tub on lower deck is great because it is "outside" but also covered and protected so it can be used even when it may be raining. It also means more lake swimming because you can always run up the hot tub to warm up. Just ask the kids

There are 2 separate water heaters which helps when there are 12 or more people all showering in the morning

If requested in advance during the rental application, or at least 30 days before the rental period, one of the boat slips can be made available for your boat or seadoos

No Pets please. Main level has Maple flooring that will scratch from claws. Cottage rental fee listed of $4, 500 is for 7 days/nights June 18 - Sept 10 2016 from Saturday to Saturday, plus mandatory cleaning fee of $200
Check in time is 330 pm on the day of arrival, while check out time is 10 am the following week. You must be checked out by 10 am to allow time for cottage to be cleaned/inspected before the next rental group arrives. A double slip boathouse has room for your boat or seadoos in one of slips if request to use it is provided during rental application or minimum one month before your stay. Inside the boathouse for your use are a canoe, kayak, windsurfer, kids unsinkable canoe, multiple sizes of lifejackets, noodles waterskis, ropes, kneeboard, and inflatable rafts you can use from your boat. On top of the boathouse is a very large area with 4 lounge chairs and 6 muskoka chairs to spend the day by the waterfront. There is also an 8x8 foot floating raft for the kids to hang out on the water. Shoreline is sandy with a ladder at the far end of the wraparound dock where the water is approximately 10 feet deep at the far end of the boathouse

There are cleats on both sides of the boathouse for renters to tie up their boats or seadoos. Unfortunately it is no longer possible to allow renters to use one of the boat slips from past damage of renter’s boat propellers hitting the support boards, as well as completely unraveling the lift cables. No smoking inside the house
No pets inside the home
Please use coasters for drinks placed on marble counter tops of furniture to avoid staining marble
Please do not pull or drag 8x8 floating raft closer to boathouse as it is also anchored to bottom of lake
Please respect the lake shoreline and do not make waves from boats or seadoos near shore
Jumping off boathouse is permitted, but is at your own risk with side docks. Water is deep enough
Use of towels is allowed, but only if washed and put back in closets. Leaving them in dryer is not allowed
All garbage must be removed from garbage baskets/cans in house, decks, boathouse. There is a street side garbage bin for the cottage at far side of the garage that you may place your garbage in. And all recycles must be placed beside this garbage bin
