The main house is about 150 years old. It has 4 large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a guest WC. The whole house has been refurbished with a new roof, new windows, new clapboards etc. Both inside and outside the house has been refurbished in original colors with replicas of the original door handles. The house can be rented on a weekly basis through Kragerø Booking. The house is completely furnished for 8 people. Dagfrid Bråtane, architect of Trafo, has assisted with everything from color schemes exterior / interior to decor. Where it has been possible, we have sought to find local suppliers and also antiques with ties to the area. For example, all of stoneware is from Porsgrund and glass is from Hadeland. Kurdøla is limited in relation to internet connection, so we had to get internet via satellite. This is a relatively slow connection but you can at least read the email. Verisure has supplied alarm system with video surveillance and series-connected smoke alarms in every bedroom. We have installed a satellite receiver for TV. This takes a number of European television channels, but not Norwegian TV. In addition, there are DVD players and a good soundbar. Otherwise, the house is equipped with washer, dryer and dishwasher and everything else needed for a comfortable stay. The barn has a floor area of over 400 sqm. It is rumored that the barn was the largest in Kragerø when it was built, but it has since been surpassed by another. The farming activities closed down around 30 years ago, and the barn stands today empty. If someone wants to hire a big and nice barn, simply contact us!
