The home sits on a wooded one-acre lot facing the mountain range to the East. The kitchen has gorgeous mountain views and lots of light. Located upstairs is the master bedroom with a king-sized Sleep Number bed, a large walk-in closet, and a beautifully tiled master bath. Also upstairs is a bedroom with bunk beds (2 double beds) and a slide out trundle bed (twin). The cabin is located a few minutes from both Fairplay and Alma. These areas are known for activities including hiking, mountain climbing, horseback riding, ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, 4-wheeling, ATVing, mine exploring, canoeing, kayaking to name a few. The town of Alma is the highest incorporated town in North America at 10, 578 feet. Founded in 1873, Alma has quaint coffee shops, a grocery store and a tavern. A short drive from Alma is Kite Lake which leads to five “14ers. ” Fairplay boasts coffee shops, grocery/dollar store, taverns and restaurants as well. If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. You can find all of these activities within minutes of the home: * FISHING. The access is easy and 4-wheel drive/AWD is not a necessity during the summer Months But Is Highly Recommended During The Winter Months. We Are Not Responsible For Vehicles Not Being Able To Reach The Cabin Due To Snow. The Roads Are County Maintained And Not Our Responsibility. Our Driveway Is Plowed Anytime There Is 4 Inches Or More Of Snow During The Winter Months. If Your Vehicle Is Not Capable, We Are Not Able To Assist. The Cabin Is Located At Approximately 11, 000 Ft Above Sea Level. Please note that the property utilizes a well for all water needs. If too much water is used in a short amount of time, the pump will automatically turn off until additional water is recharged in the well. As with all mountain properties, please make every effort to conserve water whenever possible. There is a Cleaning Fee, a refundable security deposit, and a Sales Tax. We require a down payment of half of the total at booking. If booking is within 30 days of your check in date, full payment is required at booking. A full refund will be given if booking cancelled within 30 or more days prior to check-in. A refund of half of the amount will be given if cancellation is 14 or more days prior to check in.
