Our Guesthouse is part of Jim Thorpe's history - housed in an old soda fountain store that dates to 1874, our historic home allows guests to enjoy the old world architecture that continues to define the town of Jim Thorpe. The building renovations have retained late-19th-century design details and gives guests an opportunity to admire architectural history, inside and out, with the original storefront and display windows still intact

The home has been meticulously maintained while thoughtfully updated for modern living. The building also houses 600 sq. Ft. The beauty of this region has beckoned travelers for almost two centuries, and was second only to Niagara Falls! Located in the middle of town, the Glen Onoko Guesthouse is named for the famous Glen Onoko Falls Trail, which is known for the amazing hiking featuring multiple waterfalls and biking activities at the Glen Onoko Access of Lehigh Gorge State Park Glen Onoko Falls. Our home is an excellent base for exploring some of the town's top attractions, and is a great family getaway with the grocery store, pizza shops, ice cream, breakfast eateries just blocks away

The Space

Built in 1874, this historic home became known as the Mrs. Annie Martz Building, who resided and had an ice cream soda shop here. Over the years, the building has served in a variety of uses. The living room features an impossible to miss carved wood pillars and the original wood staircase. The clean, updated kitchen with ceramic sink is fully equipped with coffee, tea, creamer, foil, plastic wrap, cooking oils and spray

Great for couples or families, the Guesthouse fits everyone comfortably with three bedrooms dressed with designer sheets, quilts and comforters. The bedroom on the second floor has a King bed. The third floor front bedroom has an upholstered Queen bed with 3 sunshine - filled windows. In the back bedroom, a Queen upholstered bed with mountain views. The nearby bathroom features a cast iron bathtub/shower along with a generous amount of towels. There is a dressing room for stowing luggage, and a fold down futon located in an alcove. There is a sofa bed that can be made into a very firm Queen size bed. There is a half bath located on the second floor. For your entertainment needs, we've also provided you with a vintage AM/FM radio and a board games in the living room

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the two floors of the townhouse just as the shopkeepers did, who lived above the business. You may also access the private courtyard with a shrubbery border and use of the BBQ grill. The entrance is at the back of the building and on-site parking that makes unpacking easy. The first floor is a laundry room that leads to the upper two levels of the townhouse. Keyless entry will allow you to access the inside of the building; then a key is provided to the apartment door
