Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and opens onto a verandah. The ground floor features a large living and dining area spanning the length and breadth of the house. Outside a large verandah faces the sea, and offers two additional seating areas and covered dining. A modern kitchen with stainless steel Kitchen-aid appliances and full amenities is located just off the main room. There are three large bedroom suites on the second floor, a large attic bunk room for the children on the third floor, and a private bedroom suite on the ground floor with a private entrance. Floors are elegantly finished in oak and filled coral stone. On the ground floor is a large living and dining area spanning the length and width of the house. Outside a large verandah faces the fntastic view of the Harbour and Cupid's Cay, and offers two additional sitting areas and covered dining. A modern kitchen with full amenities is located just off the main room. The house sits on nearly two acres with mature fruit and poinciana trees. The extensive veranda is furnished for dining, or BBQ outside by the pool. The main veranda faces west, to capture stunning sunsets over the Harbour and the sea. The town of Governors Harbour, a three-minute walk down the hill, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster most afternoons from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed. A 10 minute walk in the other direction takes you to French Leave Beach, a mile-long crescent of pink sand that has been ranked in the top 20 beaches of the world. Most visitors to Eleuthera rent a car, because the island is rural and spread out, and a car is the only practical way to get around. By car, Buccaneer Hill is just a minute from French Leave Beach.
