Catamount is a luxury home built into a hillside of boulders and bright wildflowers, surrounded by trees and mountains. Its big, paneled front door opens onto a quiet cul-de-sac. From there it’s just a short distance to Grand Teton National Park and the ski lifts or the shops and restaurants in Teton Village, including the Four Seasons hotel, where sushi and cocktails await!
You will find some of the home’s great diversions on the first floor. Options include a games room with foosball and air hockey and board games. Steps away lie a comfy television and media nook. A great, stone-floored mudroom with ample shelving is ready to store boots, skis and snowshoes, and from there the back door opens to the vast Wyoming wilderness. Outside, you will find a hot tub where you can melt your cares away as well as a lovely alfresco dining set and a gas barbeque. There’s also a wet bar for the consummate entertainer
Catamount’s design and decor are completely in accord with the mountain landscape all around, its log frame and peaked roofs brushed by high pine boughs. Framed photos and art hang on the walls. Throughout the day, golden light fills high-ceilinged rooms. The great room is divided by back-to-back river stone fireplaces that stretch up to cathedral ceilings. Tall windows frame the trees outside, seasonal art in themselves, ablaze with color in fall or garlanded in snow in winter. French doors open to an outdoor living area with willow chairs, a dining table and the fresh balsam air of the forest
Five log cabin themed bedrooms accommodate up to twelve guests at this non-smoking villa. A couple of the bedrooms have bunk beds and are recommended for children. The master bedroom features a king bed, dual vanity, flat screen television, DVD player and balcony. Pets are also considered
Catamount is located right in the middle of nature, with world-class hiking and fishing galore. Further away, you will find the iconic Yellowstone National Park, an almost 3, 500 mile wilderness and recreation mecca atop a volcanic hotspot. Get your fill of dramatic canyons, winding rivers, green forests, hot springs and steaming geysers. Wear your ski boots and your Stetsons, but especially that mile-wide smile this charming area of Wyoming always seems to bestow. Have your vacation, your way with Luxury Retreats!
