In winter, Bolton Valley has the highest base elevation of any Vermont ski area, getting up to 300 inches of snow each year. In addition to downhill / telemark skiing and snow boarding, Bolton Valley is also home to a Nordic Center with 100 KM of trails for back country skiing, classic cross country skiing, skate skiing, and snow shoeing. Lessons are available for all ability levels, including those with special needs. When not on the trails, there is a sports center right next door with a pool and a game room for the kids

In the summer, the trails are used for hiking and mountain biking, and the indoor pool will be open with outdoor games at the sports center. With easy access to the base lodge, lifts, and Nordic trails from the front door, this unit is also situated so that it is quiet and private. Parking is provided in front of the unit, and the unit has a mud room for easy, secure storage of shoes/boots/skis or snowboards when you are not on the trails

Nearby attractions include numerous craft breweries, antique shops, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, the Cabot Cheese Flagship Store, the Shelburne Museum, glass blowing, the Trapp Family Lodge, the ECHO - Lake Aquarium and Science Center, and downtown Burlington, where shopping and great restaurants are found. There are also many summertime activities centered around and near Lake Champlain, including hot air ballooning, scenic cruises, bike trails, music festivals and farmer's markets. The area attracts fishermen and boaters to the many rivers in the region, and rentals and guided trips are available nearby. A booklet of activities is kept in the condo, along with trail guides, nature guides, and maps

The condo is also located within easy driving distance to the University of Vermont, Saint Michael's College, Middlebury College, and Champlain College for families looking to visit college students or attend graduations without the need to stay at a hotel.
