Children & Sport: Best beaches in South of France For the children and sun-worshipers the amazing sandy beaches of the Mediterranean lie just 18 miles to the South. All water sports are catered for and you will find a large range of excellent cafes and seafood restaurants. Vias Plage situated in between Cap d'Agde and Valras Plage, this small bay has some of the warmest water, sheltered beaches, golden sands and accessibility of all the beaches in the South of France, this beach to us tops them all. Vias Plage is situated just below Cap d'Agde on the coast. To get there, come off the A9 at junction 34 and follow the RN312 to Vias and then follow the signs to Vias plage head right into the heart of the beach bars and shops and then turn right. If you keep following the track you will come to another car park that invariably has spaces. We prefer this area of Vias plage
