Welcome to Tulum and the Caribbean. Our place is located in the Jungle right across the beach and covered by the local palm and trees. The highlights are the coolnes at night, the mist in the morning, the shadows and ray of lights falling through the palm leaves. We have two comfortable hard wood palafitte/stilt house cabañas. Hard wood floors and furniture. Japanese cotton matresses and sheets. Fan and blackout curtains. Eco solar powered and eco water treated. Yoga Deck and Temazkal Space The cabaña is fully screened and has a queen size bed, a hard wood trunk that works as a sofa as well, a small table and a small mirror. A hanger and furniture to put your bag and shoes. It is equipped with a ventilator, three ceiling lights and a desk reading lamp. Black out curtains are there for your comfort, but it doesn´t get pitch black. The Cabaña can be locked both from the inside and the outside. There is a communal kitchen for the two cabañas and the attic room as well. There is no fridge yet, but we provide a cooler. All else is equipped. We run Temazkales weekly. Feel free to join. The suggested donation is of 35usd. Cacao Ceremonies are ocassionaly run as well. Please ask if you are interested. Bathrooms are communal. We have two bathrooms which are outside of the Cabañas. We also have an open air communal shower, but half of it is covered as well so your things don´t get wet. We have a large deck where you can chill as well. Guest access Usually Mary, who lives at the property, will welcome you and show you around. If not I or someone else will welcome you. Worst case scenario, we will leave the keys in a safe box with a combination for you to do a self check in. We would meet you the next day in that case. Guest interaction I´ll be available at all times, except when I go into the jungle where there is no signal. Paloma, who lives at the property can assist you if you need anything. Ask me about activities and places. I´ve been here a while and know some people and places that might make your stay better. Neighborhood overview Our neighbourhood is slowly coming to be the best spot in Tulum. Perhaps in a couple of years. For the time being, it is tranquil and just a few hundred meters from the famous restaurants and bars like Hartwood, Gitano, Casa Jaguar, La Zebra, Moulberry Proyect, etc. Getting around Many places are walking distance. We provide bikes. Bikes are the best transport in Tulum. You can also take the bus which comes by every half an hour. You can take the taxi as well. And you can hitchhike. If you rent a car it will be harder to park. Ask us and we´ll think of something. Other things to note Eco-Living: Please be aware that we run on solar power, so please don´t over use power. Please turn of the lights when you are not using them. We´ve installed a switch outside of the cabaña for it to be easier to switch everything off. Eco-water: We clean our water through biodigestors and carbon/plant filters. We provide biodegradable products for your use, so we don´t affect the filters. A little bit of regular cleaning products won´t harm our filters, but a lot will. Sound and Noise: Our place is located in a pretty tranquil, silent spot. The restaurante next door has chill moderate music until 11:00pm. The beach: We are not on the beach. We are 20 meters away from the entrance to the beach. Some places in Tulum charge a 2. 5usd entry to the beach. Most of them are free and you can use their facilities if you have a drink at their place. We recommend Aura Beach Club. We are located in the jungle so you might see animals like earth crabs and spiders. There are also scorpions, but these are not poisonous and hardly ever come out. Our cabaña is fully screened
