Cozy cabin in perfect Northern lights surroundings! A place you will never forget, in the countryside far away from the disturbing sounds and lights from the city. If you are looking for luxury and daily showers you do not need to keep reading. This cabin has electricity, but in the wintertime only hand-carried water when the ground is frozen. But there are good water heating tanks so that you can do the dishes and wash face and body by cloths and towels. Mark that the shower cannot be used in the wintertime! People who are NOT addicted to daily showers love this life, but this is not for everybody of course. Best suited for quiet nature lovers with a rental car. On request we can drive you for 500 NOK each way on arrival/departure day. This is a unique and really charming place - perfect to slow down and experience authentic Norwegian cabin life in really good Northern Lights surroundings! This is not your average hotel room! This could be an adventure of a lifetime, an unforgettable experience to write home about! The cabin has a wood-burning stove and an outdoor bonfire place outside underneath the aurora sky. You can bring our woolen blankets outside to keep warm around the fireplace if you want. Wood included. The cabin is decorated with homely interior and has a warm atmosphere. With assistance from the hosts you can (learn to?) make a bonfire or feed wood into the stove to keep it constantly warm. In the wintertime you might even get to melt and heat up snow for doing the dishes. There is a fridge and a stove and cutlery/plates etc in the cabin, or if you want a break from doing the dishes - disposable articles are available. A freezer available in the summer time. In the winter the freezer is right outside. Drinking water, coffe/tea and some basic things like flour, sugar, salt i. E. In the cupboards. We provide clean bedsheets/linen and towels/cloths. You can try out different Norwegian winter activities like kick sledging along the road, shovelling snow, or maybe you would like to try some good old-fashioned wood chopping? The simple life requires some skills, but the hosts will help you master it. Your job is to keep the fire burning so the cabin keeps warm. The temperature can sometimes drop below -15 degrees in the wintertime! And what are vacations without that great picture to share? Einar is a skilled photographer with professional equipment for photo and editing. He will give you a quick lesson on haw to take pictures of the Aurora
